Chinese medicine says that "all diseases are caused by phlegm". If the sputum is not discharged, it will easily drag the problem down and lead to more diseases.
From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, phlegm is a turbid substance produced by the dysfunction of the five internal organs, which will block the heart, brain, kidney or limbs and bury hidden dangers of various diseases.
Some experts pointed out that the lung is the storage of phlegm, the spleen is the source of phlegm, and the kidney is the root of phlegm. These three organs are the main internal organs of the human body. Therefore, we should pay attention to the transport function of these three zang-fu organs, and achieve the purpose of eliminating diseases and health care by preventing phlegm and treating phlegm.
Throughout the year, different reasons will lead to the dysfunction of the five internal organs of the human body and produce phlegm.
From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, phlegm and blood stasis can induce various diseases, such as tumor, hyperplasia of mammary glands, stroke, hypertension, cough and so on. These are all related to phlegm. Therefore, ancient and modern health experts attach great importance to guiding people to prevent and treat phlegm in order to get rid of diseases and preserve health.
From the perspective of traditional Chinese medicine, phlegm can be divided into visible phlegm and invisible phlegm.
Tangible phlegm, also known as narrow sense phlegm, comes out for coughing or vomiting and is easy to be detected, so it is also called external phlegm; The symptoms of visible phlegm disease are obvious. According to these symptoms, early diseases can be diagnosed effectively.
Invisible phlegm, also known as extensive phlegm, is not easy to be detected by people, and can only be detected from the symptoms. Its pathological changes and clinical symptoms are from the inside out, so it is also called internal phlegm.
Traditional Chinese medicine believes that phlegm is the product of human body's water-liquid metabolic failure, and its production is closely related to lung, spleen and kidney, among which spleen is the most closely related. Traditional Chinese medicine holds that the spleen is the source of phlegm, the lung is the reservoir of phlegm, and the kidney is the source of phlegm.
Drinking water enters from the stomach and body fluid is transported to the lungs. Through the descending action of lung qi, the three-way waterway is adjusted to transport water to the bladder. At the same time, through the propaganda of lung qi, the body fluid is dispersed throughout the body with the triple energizer as the channel.
Under the gasification of the kidney, part of the water injected into the bladder (clear part in turbid medium) is injected into the lung to nourish lung gold, and part of it (turbid part in turbid medium) is converted into urine and excreted.
Some doctors clearly pointed out that the essence of phlegm is water.
For example, Zhang Jingyue said, "If your wife has too much phlegm, the middle qi will be insufficient, and the phlegm will be water. Its source is in the kidney, and its mark is in the spleen. In the kidney, water does not return to the source, and the water is full of phlegm; In the spleen, the appetite does not change, and the soil cannot make water. "
Zhao Xianke also said: "The person who covers phlegm ... is not owned by the human body. If the water is not suffused with phlegm, it will boil into phlegm. "
1. The lung is the place where sputum is stored.
Lung qi (temperature, dust, bacteria, viruses, etc. ), delicate and dirty.
Traditional Chinese medicine often says that the lung is a device for storing phlegm, because the lung controls breathing and regulates the entry and exit and rise and fall of qi. When pathogens invade the lungs, it will damage the lung qi, which will easily lead to the condensation of body fluid into phlegm in the lungs.
Although phlegm comes from the lungs, Chinese medicine believes that expectoration is not the image of the lungs, but the image that is not conducive to water travel.
Cough is a symptom of wind disturbance, and expectoration is a symptom of water disturbance. It is not the only disease of lung, and it is closely related to other viscera.
2. Spleen is the place where phlegm is produced.
Spleen governs healthy transport and transports body fluid, which is the intermediate link of water-fluid metabolism. Spleen deficiency leads to poor health and stagnation of water and dampness, which turns into phlegm and turbidity.
Phlegm drink: "According to phlegm, ten diseases are often six or seven, and four phlegm drinks in Neijing are all harmed by wet soil, so philosophers say' spleen is the source of phlegm' ... spleen is restored to diligence, and phlegm becomes its own."
Sputum produced by the spleen is white, thick and easy to come out, as if it slipped into the mouth from the throat, so it doesn't need to be coughed up hard. It is usually called wet phlegm cough, not expectoration.
Phlegm-dampness cough refers to cough caused by phlegm blocking lung, which has the syndrome characteristics of phlegm stopping cough.
Clinically, the spleen is most afraid of being sleepy, one is gas sleepy, and the other is wet sleepy.
3, the kidney is the help of phlegm.
Because spleen yang is rooted in kidney yang, and kidney yang is the foundation of spleen yang. Spleen-yang is the foundation of healthy-qi memory, and healthy-qi memory is the guarantee of evil.
Therefore, while strengthening the spleen and strengthening yang, we should consider whether there is deficiency of kidney yang, and appropriately add products that warm and tonify kidney yang, such as aconite, cinnamon, asarum, epimedium and Evodia rutaecarpa.
Kidney yin deficiency causes the kidney to be unable to accept fire, and liver fire will flourish.
Phlegm and blood stasis can not only form various diseases, but also have the theory of "stubborn phlegm and strange diseases" and "abnormal syndromes", and its clinical manifestations are bound to be unpredictable, mixed with excess and deficiency, with different appearances.
Such as heavy head and dizziness;
Chest fullness, wheezing, foreign body in throat;
Good at being frightened, easy to fear, convulsive, crazy and restless;
Or male impotence, female frustration;
Or phlegm flowing through meridians, dry and aphasia;
Or phlegm nuclear carbuncle, dry knot; Wait a minute.
Cold phlegm:
Phlegm is white, patients are afraid of cold, like to drink hot, and the tongue coating is thin and white. This situation is mostly caused by cold evil. You can soak in water with phlegm-resolving drugs such as dried tangerine peel and platycodon grandiflorum, and treat cold and cold at the same time.
Hot phlegm:
Phlegm is yellow and sticky, which is transformed by heat invading the lungs or suffering from wind, cold and high fever for several days. The patient is afraid of heat and likes cold, and his tongue is red and yellow with fur. At this time, it is necessary to clear away heat and resolve phlegm.
Diet should be light, don't eat fried food that is easy to get angry, and you can drink some fresh bamboo juice or pear juice.
(The fresh stems of Phyllostachys pubescens and Phyllostachys pubescens are baked, and the light yellow clear juice is bamboo juice. Its nature is cold and sweet, and it is generally used for clearing heat and resolving phlegm. )
Wet phlegm:
The sputum is white and watery, and the patient has symptoms such as weight, fatigue or loose stool, and the tongue coating is thin and white or greasy. This is due to the invasion of moisture into the human body (such as living in a humid environment), which leads to dysfunction of lung and spleen, or too greasy diet and lack of exercise, which leads to dysfunction of spleen transport and transformation.
At this time, you should eat more foods that strengthen the spleen, such as glutinous rice and yam. At the same time, strengthen exercise and control weight.
Dry phlegm:
Sputum is sticky and difficult to cough up. Patients feel dry mouth and nasopharynx, and the tongue coating is thin and yellow. Drink more water at this time. Drugs such as Radix Adenophorae, Radix Ophiopogonis, and Tremella can be used. While drinking tea, keep the respiratory tract moist. Humidifier can be used indoors.
Wind phlegm:
It is the common cold that attacks the lungs, which is caused by the cold. At first, phlegm is white and thin, but later it can turn yellow and sticky. The patient is afraid of the wind, and the tongue coating turns white first and then becomes thin and yellow.
The production and increase of phlegm will lead to human diseases, and the root cause must be found to eliminate phlegm. The ancients said that "excessive phlegm should be in the red dragon".
Therefore, all diseases related to phlegm should be treated through Fenglong point. With the help of warm stimulation, this acupoint can simultaneously treat diseases on the spleen and stomach meridian, strengthen the spleen and stomach, and make the wet phlegm self-transform.
1, Fenglong point
Fenglong point is located in the spleen meridian of Foot Taiyin, which is located in the anterolateral part of calf. It is 1.5 inches from the outside of the front edge of the calf and tibia, about two fingers wide and flush with the midpoint. Press it nearby, and the place that feels the most sour or painful is Fenglong point.
If your voice is hoarse, it seems that something is stuck in it and you can't spit it out. This may be because there is phlegm in the throat. Moxibustion at Fenglong point for one minute.
If someone feels that they can't cough up phlegm, it's easy to spit it out after stimulating Fenglong point.
People with hyperlipidemia and excessive phlegm in their bodies should massage Fenglong point by hand or tap it with a small health hammer for 5 minutes, then hammer licorice bought from a drugstore, apply it externally to this point, and fix it with medical gauze and adhesive tape. Stick it every time 12 hours, and take it off every 12 hours before sticking it. (Licorice is sweet and yellow, which is the best choice for invigorating spleen and qi, resolving phlegm and relieving cough.)
2. Zheng Zhi pt.
The branch is the junction between the small intestine meridian and the heart, which is located five inches above the wrist striation.
Zheng Zhi point can treat the vegetations of human body, which is called phlegm knot in Chinese medicine, that is, moisture knot together, called phlegm-dampness knot. Or there is a syndrome of qi stagnation, that is, part of qi is born, and phlegm in the body condenses into vegetation.
By stimulating Zheng Zhidian, these vegetation can be dissolved. Because Zheng Zhi point can absorb some blood and energy from the heart, and then impact the small intestine meridians, the function of the small intestine is enhanced, and phlegm and dampness can be resolved in time, so these vegetations will not be produced.
Acupoint selection method: Zheng Zhi point belongs to the small intestine meridian of hand and sun, and Zheng Zhi point is on the dorsal ulnar side of human forearm. When connecting Yanggu and Xiaohai, the wrist is 5 inches across.
Massage method: press the acupoints with the thumb and abdomen, and pay attention to moderate pressure, massage for 5 minutes each time, and massage twice a day.
Moxibustion with moxa stick at Zheng Zhi point for 5-20 minutes.
