2, a more professional explanation, it is necessary to start from the ten dharma circles. The Buddha told us that the world of Nu Wa, that is, the space containing our earth, consists of ten different energy spaces, which are divided into six fields and four sacred fields. The six realms are what we often call "the six divisions in the wheel of karma", that is, heaven (immortal realm), Ashura Road (demigod realm), people-oriented road (us), auxiliary road (animal road), hell road, hungry ghost road, and all beings in it. The four sacred realms are composed of practitioners who are completely aware of the truth of the universe and have no worries and love desires. It is divided into four levels of life: the study of smelling the sound track (smelling the Buddha and realizing the Tao), the study of Yuanjue Taoism (having no chance to smell the Buddha but being able to experience the Tao personally), the study of Bodhisattva Taoism and Buddhism.

So people at different levels eat different things, but the essence is to absorb enough energy to survive:

1) Food is the main energy intake mode of human beings. So we have to eat every day.

2) Bypass is the animal kingdom, and there is no need to explain what they eat.

3) Ghostly beings (Hell Road, Hungry Ghost Road) eat a lot of things, such as mud, pus, feces and so on. And it is also popular (so this is one of the reasons for burning incense on the fifteenth day of the first month) and so on.

4) All sentient beings in heaven are really advanced sentient beings who are "out of touch with human fireworks", but the heaven is divided into three realms: the realm of desire, the realm of color and the realm of achromatic. Among them, the sentient beings in the sensual world still have desires, so they will eat high-energy and loving food (so the Jade Emperor will have seven fairies and the Queen Mother will plant flat peaches, which is the supreme god in the sensual world), but when they come up, they will feed on the energy generated by other people's happiness and addiction, and when they reach the erotic world and the colorless world, they will feed on the joy (also positive energy) generated by their meditation, which is called "Zen Yue Instant".

5) Lohan, Bodhisattva and Buddha in the realm of the Four Saints not only reach the realm of Zen, but also feed on the energy generated by gods, which is the highest realm of survival.
