Zhuangzi is a representative figure of Taoism, and Zhuangzi is the most imaginative literary work in pre-Qin literature. Now, the writing characteristics will be briefly described as follows:

1. Imagination is full of romance: Zhuangzi's imagination is rich, his ideas are strange, and his writing style is unconstrained, which can't be outlined, just like the giant Kun he wrote in "Happy Wandering" turned into a Dapeng, roaming the sky and making it barrier-free.

2. Make good use of fables to reason and shape story characters: Zhuangzi makes good use of fables to express profound philosophy, such as Zhuang Zhou's dream butterfly, my expert's understanding of cattle, frog in the well, etc., all of which are well-known works.

3. Rich vocabulary and vivid description: Zhuangzi writes vividly and is good at description. For example, in "Xie Niu" (the master of health preservation), he described Xunzi's performance of slaughtering cattle from the aspects of action, expression and voice, and the characters were vivid enough to make him a representative of pre-Qin literature.

4. Philosophic and thought-provoking: Zhuangzi is a representative of Taoism. His works show mysterious nihilism, which is completely different from the thought of quick success and instant benefit in the Warring States period, forming a unique theme and style, which is thought-provoking in laughter and scolding.
