Most patients with depression are depressed, listless, easily sad, lose the ability to be happy, and are depressed all day. Music therapy for depression can help patients relax, arouse good memories and make patients participate in social activities with a clearer mood.
The selection criteria of music therapy for depression vary from person to person.
Everyone's hobbies, emotions, personalities and situations are different, so their preferences and choices for music are different. Before music therapy for depression, we should first choose music that suits our temperament and pay attention to "balance". Just like vegetables, fish, fruits, bean products and other nutrients in food should be reasonably matched, we should also pay attention to maintaining balance when choosing our favorite music, that is, music is "yin and yang", "movement" and "strength".
In order to relieve emotional stress, besides listening to classical music, symphonic music and pop songs, listening to jazz music, rock music, chorus, male and female duets and so on also has certain effects. People of different occupations should choose different music in different moods.
Clinically, there are two ways to treat depression with music.
1. Single music therapy
Simple music therapy is to treat diseases simply by listening to music or participating in music activities. In principle, it is different from ordinary entertainment music. It is different music prescriptions given by music therapists according to patients' different diseases, just like a prescription, which exposes patients to different music and makes different changes in human functions.
2. Music electrotherapy
Simply put, it is a kind of therapy that organically combines music therapy with other electrotherapy.
Commonly used are music current electrode therapy, electroacupuncture therapy and music magnetic field therapy. It is developed by combining traditional electrotherapy, acupuncture and magnetic therapy, each of which has its own advantages and makes the curative effect more remarkable.
