Tao Te Ching and Life Wisdom
If a good governor can keep the road, it will bring people a calm, peaceful and peaceful life, and people who pursue happiness and freedom will return home one after another. Under the care of the Tao, people will not hurt each other, and each will be in his place. Laozi painted an ideal country similar to the Peach Blossom Garden for us, which made people yearn for it.
Governing the country is what leaders do, which is far from the life of ordinary people. As a member of ordinary people, if you understand and follow the Tao, you will also achieve an extraordinary life.
Yu, the godfather of New Oriental, told an interesting story when talking about his business partner:
Altruism is in harmony with Tao. Those who are willing to pay and pay for others will not be too bad luck.
Sometimes you don't have to do too much. Even a word of encouragement can be an extremely valuable force and may even change other people's lives. Sow the seeds of goodwill at will, don't care about germination or not, because you won't lose anything. Perhaps inadvertently, you will harvest a forest. Knowing how to give makes you richer.
Mencius once said: "Michinosuke, Michinosuke is very few." . More help, the world is peaceful; With less help, relatives will rebel. How big is a person's heart, how big is the circle and influence he builds. Selfish people are alienated from their relatives, and it is difficult to become a climate. This is the truth of sticking to the road and letting the world go.
Then, Lao Tzu changed the subject and carefully reminded: Although the role of Tao is great, on the surface, it is not as attractive as music and food. Music and food often make people want to stop, because they can bring instant satisfaction to the senses, so the temptation is irresistible.
Compared with the pleasure brought by music and food, "Tao" is too weak. We are wandering in the bustling world, and our senses are spoiled by color, sound, fragrance and taste, and we simply can't remember to return to simplicity. We even despise simplicity and think it is too rough, so "Tao" is ignored and forgotten.
If we want to taste Tao, its taste is as faint as pure water, and it is difficult for people to notice and perceive its existence, just as we almost forget that water is an indispensable element of living matter.
Laozi is a long-term person. He once said that "five tones are deaf and five tastes are refreshing" (Chapter 12 of the Tao Te Ching), which shows that Lao Tzu does not approve of excessive indulgence in sensory entertainment. In Laozi's view, a simple life is more real, and a simple life is in line with the Tao.
No matter how good the music is, you will get tired of listening to it for a few days; No matter how delicious the food is, eating too much will turn your stomach. Therefore, music and food will always have a degree. They can only be condiments of life, and they can never become necessities of life like water.
Although Tao is invisible, inaudible and difficult to feel with the senses, it is everywhere and inexhaustible.
Our unruly heart needs to return to the plain and real life in order to realize the infinite wonderful use of Tao, otherwise it will be busy but sad, like a rootless duckweed and a broken kite. .......
With Tao, life has endless nutrients.
Life nourished by Tao is not lacking.
