Quanzhou, as the birthplace and core area of Minnan culture, is rich in intangible cultural heritage resources, among which the number of national and provincial projects ranks among the top in China and the whole province. In order to further strengthen the protection of Quanzhou's intangible cultural heritage, our city organized the declaration and evaluation of the fourth batch of municipal intangible cultural heritage lists. On the basis of declarations by counties (cities, districts) and relevant units, Quanzhou Wenguang New Bureau organized an expert review team to review 7 categories of 5 1 projects declared by all parts of the city and relevant departments according to the review criteria, and put forward 39 recommended projects in the fourth batch of municipal intangible cultural heritage lists, including 34 new projects in the first, second and third batches of municipal intangible cultural heritage lists and 5 new protection units.

Strengthen the protection of traditional time-honored brands

This new list of projects and protection covers folk literature, traditional art, traditional skills, traditional medicine, folk customs and other categories, which fully reflects the rich and colorful "intangible" resources of our city.

The recommended list will strengthen the protection of intangible cultural heritage such as traditional time-honored brands (including famous snacks). For example, the production technology of Anhai frozen bamboo shoots recommended by Jinjiang Cultural Center originated from Anhai, Jinjiang. During the period from Daoguang of Qing Dynasty to Xianfeng, Shi Hongbao, a native of Qiantang, Zhejiang Province, wrote in Miscellanies of Fujian: "Bamboo shoots were born in sand caves on the beach, and now Quanzhou sea cliffs are prolific."

The special snacks selected together include Quanzhou Yuanxiao Pill, fried oyster, potato kernel, tribute sugar, mung bean cake, batter, meat dumplings, water pills, stone flower paste, bean curd making skills and so on.
