It has a history of 1600 years since Sanyuangong Zizhiliang built the Yuegang Courtyard in the former site of the North Temple. From Sanyuan Palace to Yuegangyuan, we can't help but talk about the life stories of Bao Zheng, Bao Gu and Ge Hong.

Bao Liang's words are too mysterious. He was the magistrate of Nanhai in Guangzhou during the Wei and Jin Dynasties. He believed in Taoism and was the first person to introduce the Taoist Dante School to Lingnan. Later, he built a Yuegang Academy under the then Yuejinggang Yuexiu Mountain, where he publicized Taoism and alchemy.

Bao Liang later accepted an apprentice named Ge Hong. Ge Hong is a legend in history. Jurong, Jiangsu Province in Jin Dynasty, was nicknamed Bao Puzi. He was the great-grandson of Wu and Ge Xuan during the Three Kingdoms period. Ge Hong is a Taoist theorist, doctor and alchemist. He studied alchemy with Gree disciple Andrew since childhood. At the end of his life, Hui Di went to Guangzhou to join the army at the invitation of Guangzhou secretariat, and lived in Guangzhou for about 10 years. Later, he followed Bao Liang to explore Taoist theory and the art of alchemy and nourishing qi, and treated the people with his wife Bao Gu. At the age of 24, Ge Hong first came to Guangzhou. He studied under his teacher for 65,438+00 years and finally became a learned man. When he was less than 40 years old, he wrote 70 volumes of Bao Puzi and 100 volume of Golden Whip Fang. He is proficient in acupuncture, and it is said that he left the original tablet of acupuncture meridian map in Sanyuan Palace. In the Eastern Jin and Yuan Dynasties, Ge Hong went to Nanjing (known as Jiankang) to be an official, and the official was the prime minister, so he was also called the Prime Minister Taoist. Later, he heard that Jiaotoe is rich in cinnabar in today's Vietnam, so he resigned as a senior official and his family came to Lingnan for the second time, and was retained by Deng Yue, the secretariat of Guangdong and Guangxi. Since then, he has lived in Luofu Mountain for 30 years, engaged in alchemy and kept writing. Ge Hong also built four temples in the southeast and northwest of Luofu Mountain, namely, Xu Chongguan, Baihe Guan, Jiutian Guan and Xiangsu Lao Guan.

Ge Hong's wife Bao Gu is also good at medicine. Bao Gu, the daughter of Bao Liang, was deeply influenced by Taoism since childhood. Because Bao Jing deeply loved and valued her apprentice Ge Hong, she betrothed her 18-year-old Bao Gu to him, when Ge Hong was in his forties. From then on, the husband and wife loved each other and studied alchemy and medical skills together. Bao Gu has lived in Guangdong for decades. She traveled all over Nanhai, Panyu, Boluo and Huiyang in order to collect herbs and practice medicine. Her medical skills are brilliant, and people affectionately call her "fairy" and "Bao Xiangu". Later, Bao Gu died of a sudden illness, and later generations built a "Bao Gu Temple" in Yuexiu Mountain to commemorate her. The wells she uses are called "Baogujing" and "Qiugu Longjing". Unfortunately, temples and wells no longer exist. However, the "Treasure Fairy Temple" to commemorate her was built in Sanyuan Palace. Bao Liang later buried his daughter in Luofu Mountain, where the "Zhu Zhu Temple" was built to commemorate Bao Gu.
