Construction background:

Wuhan Sports Center is located in the southwest of Wuhan, in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, and in the southeast of Jianghan University. Based on the principle of "internationalization of standards, diversification of functions, symbolization of buildings and modernization of equipment", it was formally established as a key project in July 1998 with the approval of the Planning Commission of Hubei Province and Wuhan City respectively.

The total planned land is 1.580 mu, and it is planned to build "one hall and two halls" (60,000-person stadium, 1.330-person stadium and 3,200-person swimming pool) and five-star hotels, leisure squares, supermarkets, business districts, national fitness centers and other supporting facilities.

Dedicated elevators enable disabled people to reach the ball watching position smoothly, and toilets and beverage stalls for disabled people are set up nearby, which shows their concern for disabled people everywhere.

There are formal seats, VIP seats, press seats and other special seats in turn. At the same time, the stands also set up 57 boxes in accordance with international practice, including 3 luxury VIP boxes to meet various needs. The person in charge said that ordinary private rooms can be rented all year round and accept guests from all over the world.

There are 400 press seats, TV studios and large-scale press conference venues. There are 400 press seats on both sides of the VIP seats in the main stand. There is a power supply, telephone and internet jack on the desk of the fixed press gallery, and "old reporters" can publish on the spot.
