The area of green plants in Changle Park is 89.6%, second only to Xingqing Park and Fengqing Park. The predecessor of Changle Park was Hansenzhai Nursery, which was established in 1956, covering an area of 333.33 mu, and was one of the largest nurseries in Xi at that time. 1976, in order to accommodate a batch of tropical animals donated by Japan, Hansenzhai Nursery was converted into Xi 'an Zoo and officially opened to tourists in 1977. Since then, it has become a landmark in the eastern suburbs of Xi.

In 2004, due to the limitation of space and the increase in the number of animals, the original area could not meet the needs. Therefore, the Qinling Wildlife Park was established in Xi 'an, and all the original animals were moved to Qinling.
