Reason:
1, where the air is not circulating, bacteria are easy to gather.
When you sweat in the gym, the smell on your clothes reminds you that bacteria are growing. The most common bacteria in sportswear are influenza virus and Staphylococcus aureus, which can cause colds or viral gastroenteritis, and may cause pneumonia, septicemia and even systemic infection in severe cases.
2. Fitness equipment, towels and slippers are easily contaminated by bacteria.
Microbiologists at the University of Texas in the United States have found that bodybuilders will sweat violently after a lot of exercise, and sweat stains will accumulate on fitness equipment. Without thorough disinfection and cleaning, harmful bacteria can survive in the humid environment created by bodybuilders' sweat for several days. Similarly, towels, slippers and other fitness products in the gym may also be contaminated with various bacteria and viruses.
3. The solubility of air carbon dioxide is very high.
Poor air circulation can easily lead to carbon dioxide accumulation. When the concentration of carbon dioxide in the air exceeds 8%, people will feel tired, short of breath, asthma and other discomfort.
4. There may be irritating pollution sources in a closed environment.
When citizens exercise in a closed environment, they should also pay attention to whether there are pollution sources (such as rubber carpets, density boards, artificial plywood, etc.). If the smell is too pungent, it's best not to enter for the time being. Otherwise, aerobic exercise may become harmful exercise.
In order to keep warm, the doors and windows of the gym are generally not wide open in winter. In such a relatively closed environment, high-intensity exercise requires higher air quality. Experts from the University of Lisbon in Portugal tested the air quality of the gymnasium. The results show that the contents of formaldehyde, carbon dioxide and dust in indoor air of most gymnasiums exceed the standard. When there are many people, the concentration of indoor dust and carbon dioxide reaches alarming levels, which is enough to cause respiratory diseases such as asthma. Pollution sources are mainly concentrated in carpets (yoga carpets), furniture, new fitness equipment and some cleaning products.
Measures:
1, disinfection.
Gyms are usually closed. In the gym, before opening the gym every day, all the fitness equipment and seats in the gym are disinfected with diluted disinfectant. When members exercise, they are observed by full-time touring coaches. Once members leave the equipment, they will immediately dry the sweat stains left on the equipment to prevent bacteria from spreading among different people. Provide each member with two towels disinfected by professional dry cleaners. Slippers, strictly implement the daily disinfection system.
2. Adopt ventilation equipment.
There is no air quality evaluation for gymnasiums in the indoor air quality standards currently implemented in China, but gymnasiums, as indoor places, should also have good ventilation equipment and convection devices to avoid waste gas circulating in a limited space. For closed air quality problems, strong ventilation equipment must be used. Only by ensuring the circulation of air can sports enthusiasts breathe fresh air and will not have the opposite effect of sports. Especially for indoor sports, the requirements for air are much higher than those for equipment and the like. Therefore, it is recommended that friends choose places with strong ventilation facilities to exercise.
