You are 22 years old now, and there are quite a lot of martial arts for you to choose from. Modern fighting includes Sanda, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu and Taekwondo. Traditional fighting includes Wing Chun Boxing, Tai Ji Chuan and Shaolin Boxing. If you want to strengthen your physical strength and then become interested in martial arts, I personally recommend Sanda, Wing Chun and Tai Chi. You said you were in orthopedics. In the long history of China, Chinese medicine and China Wushu have been inextricably linked since ancient times, so I especially recommend our China Wushu to you.
Let me briefly talk about their characteristics for reference only:
Sanda belongs to modern fighting martial arts. Sanda is a competitive sport that extracts the essence of kicking, hitting, wrestling and grabbing from China traditional martial arts to adapt to the competition, mainly aiming at scoring or knocking down opponents. Sanda strengthens physical fitness more directly, because there will be a lot of physical training in the training process, which will improve muscle strength, endurance, explosiveness and flexibility more prominently, and it will be faster to get started and easy to achieve results in a short time. In addition, Sanda has the content of traditional martial arts, which is also very practical in self-defense fighting in real life.
Tai Ji Chuan is a very famous traditional martial art in China, and its introduction is slow. Modern practitioners focus on health preservation, but it also contains more martial arts elements. Take Chen Shi Tai Ji Chuan as an example, its martial arts are very high, but most modern people pay attention to its health-preserving part, but they don't know much about the role of martial arts. Li Liming, the curator of our martial arts school, is a personal disciple of Chen Xiaowang, the head of Chen Taiji in Chenjiagou.
Wing Chun Boxing, a traditional southern boxing in China, is said to have been founded by Yan Yongchun and five masters during the reign of Kang Gan, and later became famous all over the world because of the kung fu superstar "Bruce Lee". At present, there are more than 5 million Wing Chun practitioners all over the world. Wing Chun Boxing is also very practical, which is different from competitive boxing in the ring. It emphasizes how to use the strength of human body structure to subdue opponents with the least energy consumption and the fastest speed. Compared with most other martial arts, Wing Chun Boxing requires less physical strength and flexibility. In addition, its characteristics of close-fitting bunt play more incisively and vividly in a narrow space, so it is more suitable for self-defense. In many foreign countries, Wing Chun Boxing is introduced into the military and police, security system and special forces as a compulsory item in daily training, such as Germany, Afghanistan, Finland, the United States, Nina Li Chi and other countries. Now Hong Kong Airlines also take Wing Chun as a necessary self-defense skill for flight attendants.
There are actually quite a few martial arts schools in Shenzhen, at least several hundred. There are also many Wushu schools in Futian, such as Wuwang Wushu School, Wansheng Wushu School, MiG Wushu School and Xiu De Wushu School.
As we are all colleagues in the martial arts training industry, I can't recommend a martial arts school specifically. It can be found on Baidu map. I'll just say a few ways to choose a martial arts school, hoping to help you.
1, and then go to see the qualifications.
First, take a look at the online profile of the martial arts school to learn about the school-running concept of the martial arts school and what honors and awards it has won in the past, such as the number of gold medals won by students and the certificates and awards issued by the national government or the martial arts community. Like our martial arts school, we organize students to participate in martial arts competitions in Hong Kong and Shenzhen every year, and the number of gold medals, silver medals and bronze medals won is among the best in Shenzhen. In addition, we are also the cooperative organization of the 4: 30 project in Shenzhen primary and secondary schools.
2. Look at the teachers.
Take a look at the graduate school or teacher of the martial arts school coach; Second, see what awards or honors the martial arts coach has won; Third, look at the level of students taught by martial arts school coaches.
If one of these three points is the most important, I think it must be the third point, that is, the level of students taught by coaches. Good practice does not necessarily mean good teaching. For example, the coach of boxing champion Tai Sen is definitely not as good as Tai Sen, but the coach of Tai Sen is definitely better than Tai Sen in teaching. For us students themselves, you don't have to choose the best person to teach you, but you must choose someone who can make you strong, because it doesn't matter to you that others are strong, but it is the key to make yourself strong.
Like our martial arts school, although the coaches are basically from major martial arts colleges in China, or they are personal disciples of famous teachers, world martial arts champions and national martial arts champions, if the teaching level is still not up to standard after a period of teaching and training, even the world martial arts champions will be dismissed.
3. Look at the founding time of the martial arts school
The longer the martial arts school was founded, the more teaching experience it accumulated. If it is a newly established martial arts school, it will be relatively lacking in teaching. Of course, this is not absolute. If the new martial arts school makes more efforts in teaching, the establishment time is not the only factor of the specific teaching quality. Like our martial arts school, it has been established for more than 30 years. Although it has rich teaching experience, it still insists on learning and exploring martial arts teaching.
4. Look at the environment and service quality of the martial arts school.
Good environment and service quality of Wushu school is a good experience for students. The environment and service are good, and the natural mood is different. However, it still depends on personal wishes. If you don't have too many requirements in this respect, it is not the most important factor.
These are my personal suggestions and opinions. Although they may not be comprehensive, I hope they can help you.
