How to carry out hiking activities
Hiking is an active fitness activity, which can promote the development of children's intelligence and achieve the purpose of cultivating temperament and exercising will. At the same time, it provides opportunities for children to get close to nature and expands the space for children to contact and know the society, so it is deeply loved by children. Through one year's practice, I think there are three aspects that can't be ignored in organizing hiking activities. Parents' work can't be ignored. Kindergarten education cannot be separated from parents' understanding, support and participation. Therefore, it is very important to carry out hiking activities. To this end, we have carried out a series of parental work. ◆ Hold a parent-teacher conference. When the kindergarten decided to carry out hiking activities, we held a kindergarten-wide parent-teacher meeting to introduce the significance and role of hiking activities for children, and then held a parent-teacher meeting for each class, where the head teacher introduced the children's hiking project plan of this class to parents in more detail. At the meeting, parents and teachers had face-to-face communication, expressed their views on hiking activities and put forward many opinions and suggestions. Due to timely communication, parents basically reached an understanding of hiking activities, laying a good foundation for future hiking activities. ◆ Issuing Parents' Questionnaires During the one-year implementation of the project, we * * * issued 12 parents' questionnaires for hiking activities. The questionnaire is anonymous, and parents are given enough time to fill it out every time to ensure the accuracy of the questionnaire. Through the questionnaire survey, parents have a deeper understanding of the significance and role of hiking activities, which not only completes the propaganda work about hiking activities, but also enables us to listen to parents' opinions and suggestions more widely, providing useful information for us to formulate and revise the activity plan in time. Give full play to the role of the family. Each class set up a hiking column in Home World to introduce the latest news of hiking activities to parents in time, put forward matters needing attention for parents' cooperation, and explore related ideas put forward by parents. Because the content of homestead changes frequently and continuously, which can attract parents to read, hiking activities are often talked about. Hiking is a key topic in kindergarten, and it has also become the focus of parents' attention. ◆ Invite parents to participate in hiking activities. In order to let parents know more about the actual situation of hiking activities, we invited some parents to participate in organizing hiking activities in stages. Parents witnessed the teachers' careful planning, careful preparation and careful statistical records, experienced the hardships and tiredness of organizing activities, gained a deeper understanding of the significance and role of hiking activities, and gave more firm support to kindergartens to carry out hiking activities. Safety work can't be ignored. Because hiking activities have to go out of kindergarten, safety work is particularly important, which is also the most worrying aspect for parents. In order to ensure the safe and smooth development of hiking activities, we have carried out all-round safety education. ◆ Strengthen teachers' safety awareness. Preventing problems before they happen is the best guarantee for safety work, and teachers are the main organizers of activities, so the primary task of safety work is to strengthen teachers' safety awareness. In every discussion and study, the most talked about is safety work, and safety work is also commented as an important content when summing up hiking activities. In addition to consciousness, the methods and skills of leading the team are also very important, and the old teachers have rich experience in this field. To this end, we specially organized several safety work experience exchange meetings and invited the old teachers in the park to introduce their experiences. At the same time, combined with hiking activities, some related simulation scenarios are set up for teachers to discuss, and through repeated thinking and practical operation, the working ability is improved. ◆ Strengthen children's safety awareness. Children get excited easily. When they walk out of the activity room and kindergarten, they feel more relaxed in the face of the vast nature, but at the same time, they are prone to unsafe factors. Combined with the actual situation of children's hiking activities in our park, the proportion of safety education has been increased in the educational goals, from semester goals to monthly goals and weekly goals, which have been decomposed and implemented layer by layer, and safety education has penetrated into all links of the day's activities. Each class also organizes children to discuss a series of safety issues according to their age characteristics, such as how to stay behind when walking, how to avoid hitting others and vehicles, how to cross the road, how to get on and off, and so on. ◆ Sufficient manpower should be provided during the activity to reduce potential safety hazards. Every hiking activity, each class is accompanied by 3 ~ 4 teaching staff to ensure that teachers take care of the front, back and middle of the team. When choosing the hiking route, avoid crossing the road frequently, and try to cross the road at the intersection with traffic lights. When the children cross the road, the teacher stands at the intersection to block the passing vehicles. Protection work cannot be ignored. Hiking requires children's physical strength and hard work. Protection is very important. ◆ Do a good job of maintenance and preparation before the activity. For example, remind children to drink water and urinate, check children's clothes, carry items needed for activities and staffing. Adjust and eliminate the factors that are not conducive to children's hiking activities in time through inspection, such as changing unsuitable shoes for individual children and taking off too many clothes. The items to be carried in the activity include mineral water, towels to wipe sweat, billboards to prevent loss, medicines to prevent heatstroke and mosquito bites in summer, prizes to encourage young children, return travel expenses, teaching AIDS to carry out theme activities, etc. ◆ Save money in activities. In hiking activities, teachers should be good at observing children's physical condition and emotional state, adjust the rhythm and speed of activities in time, and give proper rest; Remind children to drink water in time, and individual children take off too many clothes; Remind children to pay attention to safety, encourage children to keep up with the team, and often count the number of children to prevent them from getting lost and ensure the smooth and safe hiking activities. ◆ Do a good job of maintenance after the activity. After walking for 2-3 hours, children generally feel tired when they return to kindergarten, especially children in small classes. After they sit down in small chairs, they often forget other things, such as urinating, washing their hands and drinking water. So it will happen that they pee on their bodies and eat snacks without washing their hands. Therefore, even if the hiking activity is over, teachers should not take it lightly. After the activity, they should persist in the protection work and organize other activities. ◆ Do a good job in nursing frail children. Due to individual differences, there are always several children with relatively weak physique in each class. Teachers need to pay more love and patience to help them complete hiking tasks like their peers, so that their physique can be further enhanced. Parents can also dispel their concerns and support their children to participate in hiking activities. In order to realize the educational principle of universal kindergarten. In addition, children's physical and mental development is gradual, so the organization of hiking activities should follow the principle of gradual progress and pay attention to continuity, which can be reflected in walking distance, walking time, walking mode, hiking place and so on. When determining the walking distance and time, it is advisable to change from short to long. For example, the first hiking distance of a small class is 0.5 km, which takes 30 minutes, and then it will gradually increase to 3 km and 2 hours; Hiking sites have also developed from single to comprehensive, combining simple hiking activities with various theme activities to make it a comprehensive activity.
