Lover Valley, formerly known as Fairy Rock. According to local legend, if extremely clever people come to the stone wall here, poems will appear on the stone wall for them to read, hence the name "Fairy Rock". Because of the beautiful scenery here, it has always attracted many tourists and couples to come here to see the scenery, picnic, play, climb mountains, explore and swim. It is said that Li Siguang was attracted by the beautiful scenery here and stayed when he visited Wushu on 1942.
In the early 1980s, some people of insight began to plan to develop this area into a scenic tourist area to develop Wudang tourism. Among many landscapes, the most legendary one is the scene of "Golden Tortoise Supporting Bridge". In the steepest valley on both sides of the canyon, a huge stone shaped like a turtle propped up a bridge across the valley. There is a beautiful legend about the "golden turtle supporting the bridge", which is also the reason why the "Lover Valley" is named.
Thousands of years ago, in the deep mountains on both sides of Lover Valley, there were two Miao villages called Diwuling and Mitangjing. Ashan, a young man in Wuling, is handsome and hardworking; Tommy, a Jing girl, is affectionate and beautiful. Ashan often goes to lover's valley to collect firewood.
Water often goes to the lover's valley to herd sheep. They often meet each other across the river for a long time, greeting each other and greeting each other, so their feelings are long. "My brother changed swallows to fly over the river, and my sister changed bees to fly over the cliff." They express their feelings with songs and vows.
In order to cross the river and be with his sweetheart, Ashan cut down trees to build bridges. However, the river was too fierce and too fast, and the trees on the bridge were washed away again and again by the ruthless river. When Ashan was extremely anxious, a giant turtle appeared from the water waves, built a bridge for Ashan and helped him cross the river to meet the water. So every day, Ashan and Ashui can be together and love each other with the help of the tortoise. Their love affair was known by Shui's parents. They thought that Ashan's family was poor and resolutely opposed it, and they wanted to marry Ashan's silly son. Ashan and Ashui are in great pain. In order to never part, both of them left home, hid in a cave deep in the lover's valley, and lived a loving life without worldly constraints. This story is so magical and moving that it has been passed down to this day.
