Nanquan Campus of Chongqing Institute of Technology is a full-time ordinary private undergraduate college with engineering as the main subject approved by the Ministry of Education. Formerly known as Chongqing Zheng Da Institute of Software, the College was established in August, 20001year. In April 2003, it was upgraded to an ordinary higher vocational school and renamed Chongqing Zheng Da Software Vocational and Technical College. In May of 20 14, it was upgraded to an ordinary undergraduate college and renamed Chongqing Institute of Technology.

The school is located in Chongqing, a municipality directly under the central government in the west, the economic center of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River and an important modern manufacturing base of the country. It has two campuses with beautiful campus environment and convenient transportation. Among them, Nanquan Campus is located in Nanquan, a cultural scenic spot in the main city, and Shuangqiao Campus is located in Longshui Lake, Shuangqiao Economic and Technological Development Zone, Chongqing.

The school has software college, electronic information college, computer college, digital art college, civil engineering college, management college, general education college, engineering training center and continuing education college, which enrolls 24 undergraduate majors nationwide, with full-time students 15000.
