King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia is the most luxurious university in the world, located on the beautiful coast of the Red Sea, covering an area of more than 36 million square meters, with a total investment of about 2.7 billion US dollars. It is the first international research university in Saudi Arabia. With the world's top scientific research equipment and strong project financial support, only graduate students and doctoral students are recruited.
The campus is located at the seaside, about 80 kilometers north of Jeddah. The school has free buses to and from major shopping centers and hospitals in Jeddah every day, as well as special lines to Mecca and Medina. The building area is over 36 square kilometers, including a coral reef ecosystem, which will be used as a marine reserve of the university for research. HOK Architecture Company designed and built the campus, and wilkie Company and Sheffield Horton Vision Company were the visual consultants of the campus and the lecture hall respectively.
The university has its own desalination plant to ensure the normal water demand of the campus. There are also two free gyms, a golf course and a diving club in the Red Sea on campus for all students, professors and faculty.
