Under what circumstances can children not swim?
Swimming helps to enhance the baby's vital capacity and has the function of strengthening the body. Newborn swimming has many benefits to health. Therefore, many parents will take their baby to swim soon after birth, and they are very happy to see the little guy free in the water. However, parents also need to pay attention to the following situations that are not suitable for swimming.

1. Weak body is not suitable for swimming.

After the newborn is born, as long as it is healthy, it can swim. Some babies' physique is not ideal, and it is not suitable for swimming if their physical signs are evaluated below eight. These children are usually weak and swimming consumes a lot of physical strength, so they won't play this sport for the time being until their physical fitness returns to normal level.

2. Overweight or premature infants should not swim.

There is a big difference between a healthy full-term baby and a premature baby. Full-term fetus has spent enough time in the mother's womb, and all organs are well developed, while premature infants are not as good as healthy full-term infants in terms of weight and development of all organs. In view of these circumstances, premature babies are not suitable for swimming. Parents are advised not to blindly put their children into the water to swim, which may lead to accidents. Moreover, premature babies should pay special attention to keep warm to avoid catching a cold. Careless swimming may also cause children to catch a cold, so premature babies are not recommended to swim.

3. It is not suitable for swimming because of skin injury.

If the child's skin has accidental abrasions or wounds caused by other reasons, this situation is not suitable for the baby to swim. The reason is that water may contain all kinds of bacteria. When swimming, bacteria will attach to broken skin, which will affect children's health. Parents are advised to check their children's skin before they are ready to swim to see if there is any skin abnormality or skin damage.

4. You should not swim when you have a cold and fever.

Children who persist in swimming with a cold and fever will make their condition worse. If the child suffers from congenital diseases, or if the child has cramps, etc. In these cases, children are not suitable for swimming in the water. Children need to be completely healthy to swim in the water. Newborns' immunity and resistance are relatively low, and rashly letting children into the water may lead to aggravation of their illness, which is not conducive to their health.
