In addition to professional climbing skills, every climber should also carry out special strength training. Different from the equipment fitness in the gym, rock climbing enthusiasts mainly train with their bare hands. Freehand training can improve the flexibility of the body and fully mobilize all the muscles of the whole body, thus completing many difficult movements. What is the muscle strength of the climber? Let's look at the following example.
Magnus is a senior rock climber with extremely rich rock climbing experience. One day, Magnus invited three friends to share their training experience (in fact, let three people try their own strength training). Among the four people present, except Magnus, Bedri (b), Joe and Tom can only be regarded as ordinary climbers. So in terms of strength and skill, Magnus will be much stronger than the three people present.
The first experience project is to do one-arm pull-ups with one finger. For most bodybuilders, it is not easy to do pull-ups, let alone one-arm pull-ups, which can only be done with one finger. There is no doubt that Magnus gave us a demonstration and finished it easily.
Subsequently, Bedri and Joe also tried. Results Both of them successfully completed one-arm pull-ups with one finger. In addition, when Tom challenges this action, he can suspend his body with one finger, but he can't pull it up.
A strong man next to him saw this scene and came over and gave it a try. As a result, he still couldn't suspend his body with two fingers and claimed that his fingers hurt.
The second experience project is the level in front of the horizontal bar. This action requires the challenger to lift his torso to a position parallel to the ground, while holding the horizontal bar with both hands to keep his body suspended. This action looks simple, but it is difficult to do. People with weak arms and waist can't lift their backs at all. Surprisingly, all four people successfully completed this action.
The third experience project is arms. Arms can be regarded as an enhanced version of pull-ups, and the horizontal bar needs to be pulled to the waist. After Magnus finished the demonstration, Bedri and Joe also successfully completed this action. Tom failed after trying once, and he decided to replace the challenge with pull-ups. You can see from Tom's pull-ups that he is really close to his arms.
The fourth experience is right-angle locking. Challengers need to hold the horizontal bar with one hand, pull their bodies up at right angles with both arms, and then keep this position as long as possible. Strong ability, the other hand also needs to hold the kettle bell. Unexpectedly, all four people kept it for at least 8 seconds.
Because the three people usually focus on rock climbing training, almost all the above four projects are the first time for the three people to try. This level can be achieved without special training. Let's just say that the physical quality of the climbers is too strong.
Finally, some people say that rock climbers are the people who use the most muscles. Beauty and practicality, who do you think is more important?
