Xingang Nature Reserve is a provincial nature reserve approved by Guangdong Provincial People's Government 1976. The total area is 933 hectares. The main protection objects are rare animals such as water deer and their habitats.
2. Xingang Nature Reserve is located in Heyuan County, east-central Guangdong Province, on the north bank of Dongjiang River. The nature reserve consists of Daye Mountain and Hedong Mountain at altitudes of 406 and 45 1 m, and the original Xinfengting Ancient Road is between the two mountains.
After the completion of Xinfengting Reservoir, the two mountains became the prominent part of the "Peninsula", 350 meters above the water. Daye Mountain consists of three small fault valleys in the north-south direction. The eastern part is high and steep, extending from north to south, and the western mountain is conical, surrounded by many valleys. Hedong mountain range is a vast valley terrain.
