Although protein is an essential amino acid for all of us, especially as we get older (because we will lose a lot of muscles after the age of 30), there is no need for us to indulge in it as the mainstream media has taught us.
An interesting fact is that healthy adults do not need more than 0.8-0.9 grams of protein per kilogram to meet their protein needs. Now, you may think: this may just be an ordinary person who is sedentary. Maybe, but we are told to eat more, because we want to: increase muscle mass, reduce body fat, and make our satiety last longer (in order not to experience the deprivation of dieting and eliminate the desire for food). Unfortunately, eating more than our bodies need means that excess protein will be converted into sugar and stored for later use (body fat).
What Dr. Gundry emphasized (in all his books and podcasts) is that our bodies already contain a relatively large number of protein, and these protein are constantly used and recycled. This means that we don't have to rush to consume protein's pressure after fitness.
Dr Gandry mentioned that using ketogenic as a dietary source will save your muscle mass (if you make fat the main source of calories). However, you can also reduce protein's excessive intake by fasting.
Please don't worry that you can't make full use of sports because you spend too much time in protein. Your body has enough protein to recycle when needed. When you get home (or reach some food sources), you must have enough time. Why not choose vegetable salad instead of animal protein?
For many years, I have been an "excessive consumer" in protein. This is harmful to my intestinal health (now I have to pay for it). All the studies are accurate. For a long time, we have been cheated and nervous because we have taken enough protein. From my own experience, when I first started fasting, I ate much less protein than before and have been training on an empty stomach. This lifestyle has enabled me to grow more muscles, gain more strength and become thinner, without being deprived or taking too much protein or other nutrients.
Now I don't have my research paper. I am not a scientist or a doctor, but I like experiments and trying theories. By far, fasting is the best lifestyle plan. I've tried many dieting methods-each one will make me bloated, obese, out of line with training, weak and lose muscle. I can only comment on my own experience, which I discovered myself.
Finally, I want to say that the best diet is to eat as many vegetables as possible, while protein consumes the least, and eat more seafood instead of red meat. The choice is your own, but it is always a good idea to know as much as possible about the situation and live the best life.
