Hebei Institute of Physical Education is the only physical education institution in independent undergraduate course in Hebei Province. 1April, 1984, with the approval of Hebei provincial government, it was established on the basis of the whole system of physical education department of Hebei Normal University and began to enroll students. 1In August, 1985, the State Education Commission officially approved the construction of sports schools in Hebei Province on the basis of the school site. In June 2005, Hebei Sports School was substantially merged into Hebei Institute of Physical Education. The administrative department is Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau.

Since its establishment, it has trained nearly 100 college graduates in the fields of competitive sports, national fitness, sports industry, sports education and national sports. A large number of outstanding graduates have grown into the backbone of schools, sports teams, public security and armed police systems, fitness clubs and other units and departments, and have been widely praised by the society.
