Physical examination in general hospitals can only detect whether your body is suitable for strenuous exercise, or whether a muscle is pulled, but can't detect whether the muscle groups in all parts of your body are strong, because the muscle strength test of normal people is level 5. So we'd better ask the coach in the gym to give you an individual assessment.

Generally speaking, the most comprehensive assessment includes four items: talk assessment, body composition assessment of signs, basic physical fitness assessment and physical function assessment.

Evaluation of conversation and communication. Don't think this evaluation is unimportant, it determines whether you can exercise or not. You need to provide your basic physical condition, including the history of illness or joint injury, rehabilitation, life and rest, and the purpose of exercise. The coach will give you an evaluation based on personal inspection and evaluation criteria. Maybe I'll give you a form with the contents of hospital physical examination: history of heart disease, hypertension, coronary atherosclerosis, drug treatment, etc.

Body composition assessment of signs. It mainly tests height, weight, heart rate, blood pressure and body composition. Among them, body composition is the most concerned, and it is determined by instruments, but there are errors. It can also be determined by non-instruments, but it is more complicated.

Basic physical fitness assessment. It mainly measures flexibility (sitting forward), maximum muscle strength (bench press, leg lift test), muscle endurance (belly roll test), cardiopulmonary endurance (3-minute step test) and so on. ). We should also pay attention to the test sequence, and carry out non-fatigue test items first, and then fatigue test items, so as to get the most accurate results.

Physical function assessment. The main thing is to know whether there is a serious physical imbalance in the body, such as the upper span and the lower span. It is necessary to exercise under the condition of correcting abnormal posture so as not to damage muscles.

If you really do the above assessment, you can clearly know your physical condition. If the coach is not so professional or has not been evaluated, you should still consider your flexibility and endurance when exercising.
