Bohai Sea is the northernmost offshore of China, the inland sea of China, and also belongs to the category of internal water. Bohai Sea consists of Liaodong Bay, Bohai Bay, Laizhou Bay and Central Basin. The main rivers entering the sea are the Yellow River, Liaohe River, Luanhe River and Haihe River, with an annual runoff of 88.8 billion cubic meters.
The Yellow Sea is a marginal sea surrounded by China and South Korea, and it is a semi-closed sea area with an approximate north-south trend. Dalian, also known as Bincheng, formerly known as Darini and Qingniwa, is a sub-provincial city and a city under separate state planning in Liaoning Province. Located at the southern tip of Liaodong Peninsula in Liaoning Province, on the coast of the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea, backed by the northeast hinterland of China and across the sea from Shandong Peninsula, it is an important economic, trade, port, industrial and tourist city along the eastern coast of China, and also a new first-tier city.
