Record daily fitness activities
"Fitness Activities" on Apple Watch uses fitness activity icons to record your exercise status around the clock to help and encourage you to achieve your fitness goals. This app records your standing posture, activity frequency and how many minutes you have been exercising, providing you with a simple but powerful daily fitness circle. Our fitness goal is to sit less and do more exercise, and draw circles perfectly every day. The fitness activity app on iPhone records all your fitness activities for a long time.
Warning Apple Watch, heart rate sensor and Apple Watch application are not medical devices, and are only used for fitness purposes. For important information about using the fitness application safely, please refer to Important Safety Information.

If you choose to measure calories or time, you can wear Apple Watch instead of iPhone. But in order to accurately measure the distance of outdoor sports, it is best to bring an iPhone.
You can set time, distance or calorie goals by clicking the add and subtract buttons.
Note that "outdoor walking", "outdoor running" and "outdoor cycling" are different fitness methods from "indoor walking", "indoor running" and "indoor cycling" because Apple Watch calculates the calories consumed by each fitness method. For indoor fitness activities, Apple Watch mainly relies on your heart rate reading to estimate the calories burned, while for outdoor fitness activities, Apple Watch cooperates with iPhone (with GPS) to calculate the speed and distance. These values, plus your heart rate, are the basis for estimating the number of calories burned.
Check the progress: during the fitness process, you may wish to check the progress circle and quickly understand your progress. Scan the lower part of the screen to see the training duration, average pace, distance, calories burned and heart rate. In addition to viewing progress circles, you can also choose to view distance, calories or time values digitally. Open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, tap my watch, and then open fitness > show target values.
During the exercise, you can slide the screen to check your progress or measure your heart rate.
Pause and Continue: If you want to pause the fitness training at any time, please press the screen hard and then click Pause. To continue, press the screen hard again, then tap Continue.
Save electricity during long-term fitness: When walking and running for a long time, you can disable the heart rate sensor to save electricity. It may not be so accurate when estimating calories burned. Open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, tap my watch, and then open fitness > energy saving mode.
End fitness training: When you reach your goal, you will hear a reminder. If you feel good and want to continue training, no problem-Apple Watch will continue to collect data until you tell it to stop. If you are ready to end, press the screen hard, and then tap End. Turn the digital crown to scroll through the summary of fitness results, and then click Save or Give Up at the bottom.
To view the history of fitness training: open the fitness activity app on iPhone, and then tap a date. Scroll down to browse the fitness data listed under the Activity/Standing/Exercise summary. Slide the workout to the left to view its details.
Check the heart rate
In order to get the best effect of some functions, such as wrist detection, tactile notification and heart rate sensor, the back of Apple Watch needs to be in contact with the skin. Wear Apple Watch correctly, not too tight or too loose, and leave room for your skin to breathe, so that you will feel comfortable and the sensor will work. When exercising, you may wish to wear Apple Watch tightly; After the fitness is completed, you may wish to loosen your straps. In addition, the sensor will only work when you wear the Apple Watch on your wrist.
View your current heart rate: In dial view, first swipe up, then swipe to the Heartbeat quick view to measure your heart rate and view the last measured data. Click the heart icon in the shortcut view to restart the measurement.
Swipe to the heartbeat quick view, then tap the heart icon to get a heart rate reading.
To measure the heart rate during exercise, simply slide the lower part of the progress screen of the fitness icon "Fitness".
During exercise, you can slide the bottom of the screen to check your heart rate.
Make sure the data is accurate
Apple Watch uses the information you provide such as height, weight, gender and age to calculate calories burned, distance traveled and other data. In addition, the more frequently you use the "Fitness" application fitness icon to exercise, the more Apple Watch will know your exercise level, and at the same time, it can more accurately estimate the calories burned during aerobic activities.
With the help of GPS on iPhone, Apple Watch can even calculate the moving distance more accurately. For example, if you use the fitness icon in the fitness app to run with your iPhone, Apple Watch will use the iPhone's GPS to calibrate your stride. After that, if there is no iPhone or GPS in the fitness place (such as indoors), Apple Watch will use the stored stride information to calculate the distance.
Update height and weight: Open the Apple Watch app on iPhone, click My Watch, and click Health, Weight or Height to adjust.
