Should we focus on meat or vegetables when exercising or slimming?
Both meat and vegetables can be eaten during weight loss, and a balanced diet is very important; Lean meat is rich in protein, and vegetables contain vitamins and dietary fiber, which are indispensable to human body. The better dishes during weight loss are: bitter gourd, cucumber, celery, cauliflower, broccoli, spinach, Chinese cabbage, wax gourd and so on. Meat with high content in protein includes: milk, fish, shrimp, chicken and so on. It is also good to eat some eggs during weight loss.

Everyone in life has his own taste. Some people don't eat meat, while others are vegetarian. Many vegetarians believe that eating meat will accelerate the aging of the body. Only a vegetarian diet can keep the activity of body cells and keep the body healthy. They won't eat a bite of meat. People who only eat meat think that meat contains a lot of protein, and eating more meat can enhance immunity and make the body stronger.

Speaking of being strong, do you think of bodybuilders? Most of them are muscular and strong. The diet in the circle of friends is chicken breast, beef and shrimp every day, which is completely meat. In fact, this is a part of bodybuilders whose main purpose is to gain muscle. There are still some people who take losing weight as their main purpose and think that vegetarianism can make them lose weight faster.

So who loses weight faster when bodybuilders eat meat or vegetarians? We analyze fitness knowledge from the following three points.

First, the principle of losing weight

In the eyes of ordinary people, losing weight means losing weight. Even if losing weight is successful, it is actually a wrong cognition. The real weight loss is to reduce fat content. Many people think that you can't eat meat to lose weight, but this is actually wrong. You should eat more meat to lose weight. What kind of meat should you eat? You should eat lean meat, high protein and low GI food. Foods with high protein and low GI can provide us with better satiety, but at the same time, it will not make our insulin level rise too fast (the faster food makes insulin rise, the easier it is to get fat). Vegetarian food doesn't look like meat, but it's easy to gain weight. Think about whether the monks in the temple are vegetarian every day and get fat. It can be seen that vegetarianism is not very helpful to lose weight.

Second, the difference of basal metabolism.

Being a vegetarian often, except beans, which are rich in protein, the content of protein in other foods is very low, which can't meet all kinds of energy needed by human body. Long-term vegetarianism will lead to malnutrition and decreased resistance. I suggest you eat vegetables, fruits and meat together, so that the nutritional intake is more balanced. However, eating meat frequently because of consuming a lot of protein will increase the muscle content, increase the muscle content, decrease the fat content and increase the basal metabolism. Higher basal metabolism can make bodybuilders consume more energy, and bodybuilders naturally become thinner and thinner.

Third, the difference in calorie intake.

In fact, there is not much difference in calories consumed by vegetarians and meat eaters. The calories of 1g protein and 1g carbohydrate are the same, but protein has a long energy supply time and a low glycemic index, so it is not easy to gain weight. Although carbohydrates are not high in calories, the essence of carbohydrates is sugar. A large amount of sugar intake will increase our glycemic index, secrete more insulin, and make it easier for fat to accumulate. Although eating meat and vegetarianism consume the same amount of calories, vegetarianism is more likely to gain weight than eating meat.

According to the above three points, bodybuilders need to reduce fat content instead of paying attention to weight loss if they want to lose weight successfully. Losing weight doesn't mean that you have lost weight (the factors that affect your weight are water, fasting, before and after exercise). Improving basal metabolism consumes more energy and reduces the intake of high gi food.
