On the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, it is the Dragon Boat Festival. As we all know, the Dragon Boat Festival is the day when Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet, threw himself into the river. Han folk customs. In May of the lunar calendar, Taizhou is called May Yellow Moon, which is named after five kinds of food with "yellow" sound. On Dragon Boat Festival, Taizhou's daughter will go back to her parents' home, and her son-in-law will prepare "Huang Wu" for her mother-in-law. Huang Wu, including yellow croaker, eel, salted duck eggs, cucumber and realgar wine, is called "eating Huang Wu".
At noon on the Dragon Boat Festival, the most suitable meal for Huang Wu is to mix five kinds of yellow food. Because the theory of traditional Chinese medicine holds that the Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, which is the peak of yang in a year, and noon is the peak of yang in a day, we can use the power of the solar terms of the Dragon Boat Festival to curb bad luck and improve our energy.
5. Drink Dragon Boat Festival tea
"local customs" records: "the end, the beginning, is also. At noon on the 5 th, it was the Mid-Autumn Festival, pretending to avoid evil spirits. "
Therefore, in the traditional Dragon Boat Festival, there are customs such as taking afternoon water, drinking afternoon tea, Dragon Boat Festival tea, and collecting herbs on the mountain. The origin of drinking tea on Dragon Boat Festival can be traced back to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. On the Dragon Boat Festival, people go up the mountain to collect herbs, hang them at home for drinking all the year round, prevent diseases and keep fit, beauty beauty, prevent heatstroke and quench thirst, remove filth and exorcise evil spirits.
Dragon Boat Festival tea, also known as white grass tea and white tea. According to legend, between Tang Jing and the Year of the Loong, Ye Fashan, a Taoist priest in Shi Tian, heard that there were many people infected with the plague in Songyang, so he hurried back to his hometown, called the monks to collect herbs, boiled them with Maoshan spring water, and made tea with vats and Akebia. When people heard the news, they came to beg for tea and drank it several times before they got rid of the epidemic. Extended content: Why eat cake cones?
Dragon Boat Festival is the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year. According to the Chronicle of Jingchu, it is midsummer when the sun is on the mountain and it is midsummer in May. Its first afternoon is a sunny day to climb mountains in the sun, so the fifth day of May is also called "Duanyang Festival". In addition, the Dragon Boat Festival is also called "Noon Festival, May Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Bathing Orchid Festival, Poet's Festival" and so on.
Another year, Dragon Boat Festival, as we all know, is the day when Qu Yuan, a patriotic poet, threw himself into the river. In most parts of this country, people eat zongzi to commemorate him. But in Taizhou, especially Jiaojiang, Luqiao, Huangyan and Wenling in the south, eating cones is more to commemorate another national hero, General Qi Jiguang.
In memory of Qi Jiguang
Although Qi Jiguang was not from Zhejiang, Qi Jiguang's anti-Japanese war in Taizhou made the Japanese pirates afraid to return to Taizhou's coast, defending their homeland for Taizhou people and winning their high respect.
During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, Japanese pirates invaded the southeast coast of China on a large scale, colluded with pirates, plundered extensively, and the people were in dire straits. 1559, the court appointed Qi Jiguang as a Taiwanese gold swallow and went to Zhejiang to command War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Qi Jiguang recruited Yiwu miners, trained Qi Jiajun to adapt to the "mandarin duck array" tactics in paddy field operations in the south of the Yangtze River, and established a navy division, which dealt a heavy blow to the enemy. Qi Jiguang has been in Haimen for four years and has traveled around Taizhou. After Tao Zhu, Haimen, Xinhe, Baishuiyang and Changsha triumph, he created the enemy and won nine battles and nine victories, which is called "Taizhou triumph" in history. According to legend, after the victory, every household cooked food and wanted to reward the army. But how to send it to the military camp is really a problem. It's too far to bring a bowl, right? So the clever fisherman's daughter made a cake crust, wrapped it in food, put the vegetable bag in it and gave it to the soldiers.
Taizhou people say that as long as there are no bones and thorns, all mung bean noodles, asparagus beans, shredded pork, fresh pomfret, fried rice flour, razor clam, shredded squid, shredded eel, shredded egg and fresh shrimp can be wrapped in a cake container. Choose what you like and put it on the wheat cake skin. Put a little of everything on it, wrap it up and roll it up to eat. It's really unexpectedly delicious, mixed with the delicate taste of seafood, eggs and vegetables.
Later, this way of eating actually became a custom. At that time, it was the Dragon Boat Festival. Since then, people have eaten omelets every Dragon Boat Festival to commemorate General Qi.
Of course, in Linhai, Xianju, Tiantai and other places in northern Taizhou, the Dragon Boat Festival is still "following the crowd" and eating zongzi.
