At present, there are nearly 300 full-time undergraduates in our college. According to the social and economic development and market demand, as of 20 14, the physical education major in our college has gradually adjusted its curriculum and running direction in addition to offering traditional courses such as pedagogy, sports anatomy, sports physiology, sports health care, school physical education, sports psychology, sports sociology, track and field, basketball, volleyball, football and gymnastics. Elective courses in social sports have also been added: social sports, sports management, sports marketing, health qigong, sports dance, yoga, taekwondo, sports events and venue management, sports brokers, group gymnastics creation and community sports guidance. And increased the proportion of elective courses, in order to achieve the purpose of thickening the foundation, broadening the caliber, improving the ability, strengthening the quality and adapting to the needs of society. The practice base is rich in resources. It has signed a joint school or student internship practice base with nearly 20 government departments, enterprises, middle schools and fitness clubs such as Chongqing Sports Bureau, Changan Automobile Co., Ltd., Jiangbei Zishui Middle School and Baolihao Fitness Club. We have established stable cooperative relations with foreign sports disciplines such as Waidner University and University of Missouri, and carried out projects such as teacher training and cooperative research. After graduation, students can engage in sports, health education, sports training, scientific research, sports management, social sports guidance, fitness coaches and sports marketing in middle schools, primary schools, military units, sports schools, sports bureaus, government agencies, communities, sports enterprises and sports competition management institutions. Because the college has always attached importance to the reform of education and teaching, constantly improved the quality of teaching, and focused on strengthening the cultivation of the comprehensive quality of students majoring in physical education, graduates are well received by the society and the one-time employment rate of graduates is high.
