Is it really healthy for the elderly to hit trees in the park?
In parks or communities, we often see some middle-aged and old friends leaning against walls or tree trunks and bouncing back after repeated impacts. Some people admit that "back bump" is to keep fit and keep fit. Does "back bump" really have such a magical effect?

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the back is yang and the abdomen is yin, and the yang meridian of the human body is basically distributed in the back, among which the Du Meridian and Taiyang Bladder Meridian are particularly important. Du meridian is distributed in the middle of waist and back along the spine, which can control the whole body yang pulse and accumulate qi and blood for the whole body meridians. Anatomy also shows that there are some autonomic ganglia regulating internal organs on both sides of the posterior spine. When these nerves are abnormally stimulated, visceral dysfunction will occur.

Principle of preventing and treating cervical spondylosis by bumping back

Cervical spondylosis is related to long-term bad posture, especially sedentary. To some extent, it can be said that cervical spondylosis is sitting out. Because of sedentary for a long time, the physiological curvature of lumbar vertebra disappears and bends sideways, which makes the lower thoracic vertebra bend sideways and the upper thoracic vertebra bend sideways, showing an "S"-shaped change. Once the thoracic vertebra is scoliosis, the physiological curvature of the cervical vertebra from the cervical vertebra disappears, which leads to the occurrence of cervical spondylosis. Therefore, it is very important to keep the balance between chest and back.

Bumping the back to shake the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae can adjust the disordered joints and relax the related muscles, so that the unevenness of the thoracic ribs and scapula caused by lateral curvature of the upper thoracic vertebrae can gradually reach a balance, thus correcting the disorder of bone and joint caused by reverse lateral curvature of the cervical spine. Therefore, hitting the back is an effective training method to treat cervical spondylosis.

How to hit the back?

Back against a thick brick wall, hands on shoulders (shoulder blades apart), and the body is about 20 cm away from the wall. Stand in front of the wall with your feet shoulder-width apart and your knees upright or slightly bent. Relax naturally, lean back, hit the flat wall with your back, and gradually exert your strength. After hitting the back, you can forcibly restore the upright posture, and then practice repeatedly after adjusting to it. You can alternate your back up and down when you play back.

Pay attention to the following aspects when hitting the back.

First of all, we must choose a clean, flat and stable wall to avoid unstable wall practice such as partition after decoration.

Rebound can be done indoors at home, office, etc. You can also choose to hit trees or other thick walls outdoors, but you must choose thick trees and solid walls to avoid danger.

Second, the strength of playing back should be moderate. Don't push too hard, especially the elderly with osteoporosis. After many self-adjustments, find the right strength and comfortable posture, and you should be comfortable after practicing.

The third is to knock your back about 30 times each time and practice 2~3 times a day.

The elderly and infirm, pregnant women, people with severe cardiovascular diseases and mental patients are not recommended to knock on the back. In addition, it should be noted that people who hit their backs need to have no obvious diseases in their neck, waist and back, and they need to master a certain amount of time and intensity when using them. They shouldn't overdo it. If they feel unwell, they should stop in time.
