The first Youth Games was developed from the National City Games, and it was also the largest and highest-standard national comprehensive games hosted by Fujian Province. It will open in Fuzhou on June 18. The competition began in August. Up to now, the completed competitions include men's soccer U 18, men's basketball U 16, women's football U 16 and cycling.

The National Youth Games is not only in line with the Youth Olympic Games, but also highlights the concept of national fitness. As one of the important folk sports activities to welcome the first Youth Games, the Lohas Twin Cities Run, jointly sponsored by Xiamen Jinlong Touring Car Co., Ltd. and Straits Metropolis Daily, attracted more than 500 participants from Fuzhou University Running Association, Fuzhou Joyo Race, China Military Marathon Club and other institutions.

Mr. Jiang, a member of China Military Marathon Club, told reporters that the biggest feature of the club is that all members are active or retired soldiers, "because they have the same running hobby". He said that the Fuzhou organization of the club was just established this year to help hold the first Youth Games and practice the concept of national fitness.

Fuzhou Station is the second stop of Lohas Twin Cities. The first stop was held in Xiamen on September 26th. Participants of different ages run passionately and exercise in Jiang Bin Park on the north bank of Fujian's "Mother River".

According to the organizer, Lohas Run aims to change the traffic habit that citizens rely too much on private cars to ride bicycles and walk, which coincides with the concept of health, youth and sports in the Youth Games, hoping to bring more people a healthy and environmentally friendly attitude towards life.
