The 16th Guangdong Games will be held in Qingyuan City, Guangdong Province in 2022. There are 55 major events in the competition, 1302 minor events, among which the dragon boat was listed as a provincial sports event for the first time. Starting from the 16th Provincial Games, the provincial games will be held together with the provincial games to stimulate people's enthusiasm for participating in sports and drive more people to participate in national fitness. Qingyuan Olympic Sports Center is located in the provincial vocational education demonstration base. Its function consists of seven parts: stadium, gymnasium, swimming and diving hall, ball hall, business center and Olympic Sports Park.

Guangdong Provincial Games:

It is the largest comprehensive sports meeting in Guangdong Province, held every four years, and changed from 20 15 to every three years. Because the provincial games have always been large in scale and high in specifications, they have always had great influence in the whole province and even the whole country, and are known as the "Small National Games". From the first session 1956 to the fourth session 1974, it was held in Guangzhou with the strength of the whole province. Since the reform and opening up, from the fifth session of 1978 to the tenth session of 1998, many cities in the province have jointly held it. Since 2002, the Guangdong provincial government has decided to hold it separately by each city in the future. Each city will apply and the provincial government will decide the venue.
