The secret of longevity
In May, 1933, 15, an article in Time called "Tortoise, Pigeon and Dog" reported his story and history. Li Qingyun left the secret of longevity to future generations: "Keep a cool head, sit like a turtle, walk like a sparrow and sleep like a dog". 1928, Li Qingyun wrote the book Immortal Tactics. He didn't mention age in the book, but he said that the key to longevity lies in qigong fitness. Li Qingyun put forward the exercise method of "combining rigidity with softness and harmonizing yin and yang". He thinks there are three reasons for his health and longevity: first, he has been a vegetarian for a long time; Second, keep your heart calm and cheerful; The third is to use medlar to boil water for tea all the year round.
biography
It is generally believed that Li Qingyun 1677 was born in Qijiang County, Sichuan (now Qijiang County, Chongqing). It is said that he spent his whole life collecting Chinese herbal medicines and the secrets of longevity. 1749, 7 1 year-old Li Qingyun joined the army in Kaixian county and became a martial arts teacher and tactical consultant. 1927 Li Qingyun visited Wanxian County, Sichuan Province at the invitation of General Yang Sen. Yang Sen was deeply attracted by the vigorous age of the elderly and superb Chinese herbal medicine collection technology. His famous portrait was taken here. A year later, Li Qingyun died. Some people say that he died of natural causes, others say that he once told his friends, "I have finished what I need to do, and I will go home immediately." 1933 after Li Qingyun's death, Yang Sen sent someone to investigate his real age and background and published a report. In the same year, some Sichuanese said in an interview that they knew Li Qingyun and Li Qingyun had not become very old when they died. Others said that Li Qingyun was a friend of their grandfather.
About his real age
According to 1933 Time magazine and the obituary published in The New York Times, Li Qingyun died at the age of 256. He married 23 wives and raised 180 children. But this kind of report is hard to prove. The demographic data of China17th century are very inaccurate and can't be verified, just like another Jun Chen who claimed to have lived for 443 years in the history of China. Most likely, the warlord Yang Sen at that time gave Chiang Kai-shek a generous gift with the title of "Immortal Body" and a photo of the birthday girl in order to please Chiang Kai-shek who had just made Nanjing his capital. Chiang Kai-shek was very happy when he heard the news, and immediately asked Yang Sen to try to escort Li Shenxian to Beijing. "Let the Chinese and foreign people have expectations for our country and have a way to understand his cultivation." Unexpectedly, Li Qingyun came home and died. However, the relationship between the American media and the Kuomintang is very good, and the major American media naturally rushed to report the "longevity report" submitted by Chiang Kai-shek himself. So the reliability of its real age is very low. According to detailed records, the oldest person on earth is Yana Kalman, a French old lady who died in 1997 at the age of 122.
