Wuhan No.17 Middle School is a provincial key demonstration high school, and No.26 Middle School is a municipal key demonstration high school.

The school has been rated as "excellent unit of junior high school education quality" and "excellent unit of senior high school education quality" for many years in a row, won the championship of track and field games for middle school students in Koukou District for six years in a row, won the first prize in Wuhan Division of National Youth Aerobics Competition for two years in a row, and successively won honors such as Wuhan Model School, Wuhan Civilized Unit and the first prestigious school in Koukou District.
