Compared with the West, why are there not many men in China who like to keep fit?
I lived in Europe for ten years before, and experienced the transformation from the penultimate middle school sports in China to a marathon runner. I feel that the fitness atmosphere is indeed a huge gap, and it is not an exaggeration to distinguish it by an order of magnitude. My thoughts are as follows: 1. Culturally, the west advocates body and will, and many judgments come from feeling, and the basis of feeling is to have a strong and sensitive body-these are not innate, but to achieve "perfection" through continuous training. Relatively speaking, the East pays more attention to thinking and tradition. For example, we like to talk about "ideological work" as if we can make things clear. Many people's emotions are mainly due to physical reasons. It's no use thinking about it. Might as well go out for two laps. From this perspective, Tsinghua's long-distance running tradition is actually very modern. 2. In the current social development of our country, the short-term value orientation is utilitarian. Physical fitness and moral construction do not occupy a high level. In fact, the effect of physical exercise is still very fast, and it will be completely changed in a month or two. 3. In terms of cognition, fitness and exercise itself is a huge science and business. For example, many people say that they are too tired to work and have no energy to exercise. But experienced people know that exercise itself is a good way to overcome fatigue. The greater the pressure, the more exercise, forming a virtuous circle. I see that the main crowd in the gym is more than 30 people, and they can understand this, which is the same as professional experience-only to a certain extent can they know how to stimulate their personal potential. 4. There is also the influence of habits and people around you. There must be enough people to form an atmosphere. For example, in the field of international trade, foreign trade associations have surpassed money to some extent and become the driving force of fitness. Finally, starting from children, our education system does not pay attention to cultivating interest, let alone sports. A person who has experienced a powerful system for a long time can't accept the state that he is still panting after climbing several floors. This is an essential difference in the quality of life, but it can't be persuaded by words-self-knowledge. In fact, the sports traditions in western countries are also very different. Germans and northern Europeans are more traditional inheritors of Greek healthy culture and sports revolution. Americans are organizers of sports, and sports are an important part of entertainment life. The class division in Britain is serious, and many fat young people can be seen, which is rare in Northern Europe where everyone is rich. Leisure in southern Europe is more of an appearance association, hehe, there are more fat handsome guys to let go.
