How does rope movement work?
Basic skills of rope practice

The basic techniques of rope are swinging, winding and figure-eight winding, jumping and winding. Generally, one or both hands are used to hold the end of the rope, sometimes the middle part of the rope.

Swing rope practice

Hold the rope with both hands and swing left and right: stand with your right foot and your left foot pointing to the ground. Hold both ends of the rope with both hands at the same time and lift it horizontally in front of your body to make the rope slightly open. When moving, the center of gravity moves to the left, the two arms swing to the left with the shoulder as the axis, then the center of gravity moves to the right, and the two arms swing to the right with the shoulder as the axis (the rope cannot touch the ground).

Rope drill ring

(1) Hold the small double rope winding ring with one hand: stand at attention, hold the rope end of the double rope with your right hand, lift it forward, and raise your arms sideways. When moving, turn the rope with the right wrist as the axis, and rely on the strength of the wrist to make the rope turn clockwise in front of the body.

(2) Wrap the number "8" around your body: stand at attention, hold the double rope ends in your right hand and lift them horizontally. When moving, the right elbow is slightly bent, and the right wrist is used to lift the rope from the right back to the front, and then from the left front to the left back and then to the right front.

(3) Wrap the figure "8" back and forth: stand at attention and hold the end side of the double rope with your right hand. When moving, the hand-held rope swings in front of the body with the right shoulder as the axis, so that the rope is lifted from the bottom right to the left in front of the body, then the elbow is bent left and right with the right wrist as the axis, and lifted from the bottom right to the left at the back of the head.

rope skipping

Skipping rope is the main feature and important basic technology of rope movement. Mainly manifested as two hand-cranked ropes, two arms lifted sideways, and the rope was shaken with the wrist as the axis. The middle part of the rope can't touch the ground, and the toes are stretched out on the rope. Skipping rope has many postures: forward swing, backward swing and horizontal swing. Double shake and three shake, including single-leg jump, double-leg jump, leg-lifting jump, various jumps, turning jump, leg-bending jump and so on.

Rope throwing for rope operation

Rope throwing mainly obtains power from rope winding and rope throwing, and uses its inertia to throw rope. There are one-handed and two-handed rope joints.

(1) Throw the small ring forward, and connect the rope with both hands: hold the double rope end with the right hand and lift it to the side, and make a small ring forward. When moving, the legs are slightly flexed and straightened, and at the same time, the right arm is raised and the right hand is thrown. Turn the rope forward in the air, and then lift both ends of the rope on your arms.

(2) Shake and jump forward and throw the rope upward, and connect the rope with both hands: lift the rope sideways. When the rope is behind your body, shake it a few times and jump forward a few times. When your feet jump over the rope, lift your arms, throw the rope up from the back of your body, turn the rope forward in the air, and then lift both ends of the rope on your arms.

(3) Shake and jump back on the rope throwing, and connect the rope with both hands: hold the rope in front of you with both arms. When moving, shake the rope backwards and jump several times. When your feet jump over the rope, your arms are lifted forward and the rope is thrown forward. The rope turns back in the air, and then the two ends of the rope are hung on the arms.
