The last time I went was last Friday. It was 65438+February 4th, and I knew that my boss had been on the run for more than ten days with a huge sum of money. I heard from my colleagues on Friday that I can register for a fitness card. When I went, I registered my name, mobile phone number, card number and time limit, and there was no other specific treatment plan. Then I said I would ask 65438 again+come back on February 22nd.
I remember that day, there were no cleaners in the messy gym, the messy shower and the locker room. There was a table tennis table in the big classroom, and several older people were playing table tennis. Surrounding facilities are piled up in disorder. The front desk is full of old people I have never seen before. I only exercise at noon. They should belong to people who take a bath at night. I heard that many of them have a ten-year card or a lifetime card. ...
Today, let me have a look. As far as membership is concerned, it seems that the boss named Chao is still very sincere. One and a half pages of alternative gyms can be transferred to any one, and the membership fee is 5% of the balance in the card. If you choose to call it Chao, you can also save this 5% fee. When I asked about private education, I made progress compared with last time, saying that I had no plan and had to register first. But the expression seems to say, in fact, registration is of little significance.
When I came out of the gym, it was a dark day from the solstice of winter. It's a little cold, but it's not cold. Thinking of "Travel Notes in a Dream Circle" which I just finished two weeks ago, I feel that today should be a day for the world here and the world there to enjoy * * * * communication. Earlier, I was a little afraid of this day, but now I am full of feelings.
Anyway, through the lessons of blood and tears, the first phase of my relationship with the gym has completely ended. To sum up today, counting those hidden or obvious pits one by one can also make the future fitness journey more solid and stable.
Pit 1: There is no need for a card. This is the final choice of most people who make fitness cards, but to be honest, it is really a pit with the lowest cost. Last March, more than 20 people bought Orson's membership card at the same time. According to my observation, those who come once or twice a month are "regular customers", and it is estimated that half of them have never seen them from beginning to end. After one year, only four or five people are willing to renew their cards.
In fact, many people knew this would happen when they bought the card, but we always tend to be optimistic about the future, which is human nature. Later, due to active or passive reasons, every time I went to the gym, I needed many reasons to support it. Before Orson applied for a card, I bought a card in the gym for many years for internal use. The price is relatively cheap, but basic fitness equipment and yoga classes are still available. Even this card is rarely used. During the period, I had two experiences of borrowing and attaching, that is, "not meeting" for more than half a year.
Pit 2: Fitness Chicken Soup. I admit that the reason why I "made up my mind" to apply for a card must be to buy a private education course, because I read an article that was widely read online. In fact, there are many similar fitness articles circulating in the circle of running friends, but I always think that strength training can be done by myself, and push-ups and flat support can solve most problems. However, at the beginning of 20 16, I read an article with plain language, real experience, simple feelings and simple and true data, telling the story of how she spent tens of thousands of dollars on private education classes and how she completely changed in half a year. Generally, this kind of article will be accompanied by pictures and chicken blood characters that make people spray nosebleeds, but this one is not, it seems to be the experience of an ordinary girl in the next unit. I was moved at once, and felt that it was really necessary to experience private education courses in the current situation of running a school.
Comrades, it's not a bad thing to like chicken soup, but don't forget to distinguish it according to your own situation. Sometimes the situation looks similar on the surface, but in fact it is quite different. How about self-control? Do you like research (you can tell without reading the product manual)? Have you studied hard? These all have greater influence and different effects than having money and not having money.
A colleague who started to exercise muscles in the gym at about the same time as me, took the course by himself, always asked me some questions at first, and later became my teacher. I have gained weight and lost weight, but his lines are getting clearer and clearer, and he is much stronger. People like me who are basically "brainless training" are unwilling to spend more time on research. I feel that it is better to do some basic "stupid things" seriously, and it is better not to read words like chicken soup.
Pit 3: Change coaches frequently. My conclusion is that the coach who asked you to buy the course will not carry through the course you asked to buy. Over the past year and a half, my coach has changed more than a dozen times, and the mobility of this profession is too great. Don't underestimate this coaching change, there are many disadvantages. The biggest disadvantage is that the training has lost continuity. Fitness is a continuous work, and both physical quality and physical psychology are constantly changing. However, the reality forces you to constantly tell your new coach your fitness purpose and your current foundation, and then the coach needs to constantly adjust according to what you said and the actual sports performance. Every time you exercise, you need to check the previous information-most coaches don't want to spend more time on a case at all. When I finally got familiar with it, the coach changed again. The second shortcoming is also obvious, and the training loses unity. Every coach's action habits are different, and sometimes the differences are amazing. For example, a coach said that when sitting, pushing or expanding the chest, the waist should be attached to the back of the equipment to avoid borrowing the waist. Another coach thinks it is necessary to leave a space the size of a fist, so as to better exercise the chest. In addition, everyone likes to do different actions, so I feel that I am doing different actions every time, but I can't remember any actions in the end.
I asked the coach for the best coach for the first time because I thought I had rich sports experience. Later, they recommended a so-called "gold medal coach". I still remember his name is Kim. After a class, he bought classes, trained three times a week, uploaded photos of three meals a day and so on. Just when I thought everything was on the right track, a month later, he told me that his wife was pregnant and wanted to go home with me, and then he changed my coach-hey hey, later someone told me that king had opened a studio himself. And a great stretching coach. I really bought his stretching class for the second time, hoping to stick to it for a long time. Unfortunately, he followed me to the studio after missing a class. Another coach said that he would go back to his hometown and get married. After marriage, he said that he would continue to have children and then come to work. Anyway, most of them left for no reason.
Pit 4: Sell classes in another way. Like all service industries, profit is their greatest pursuit, so buying classes and buying classes in buy buy is their unchanging purpose. They may say things like "help you lose weight" and "help you achieve your goals", but it is really their attribute to often offer to buy classes. Some people have a good way to fight sales promotion. No matter what you say, you only buy what you need most. But there are people like me who actually only need 10%, but after repeated lobbying, it is easy to buy products that will only regret and do not meet their income level.
According to my observation, there are generally but not limited to the following methods for gym promotion:
Need a method: Your muscles are too tense, so you must provide stretching classes. Generally speaking, strength classes are one-on-one with stretching classes, otherwise the exercise effect will be reduced by half.
Performance-assisted method: "sister, my performance pressure is too great, and I still lack a little this month." Can you help me? " Or "I have to improve my qualifications, and there is still a little bit, no matter how much, it is ok to express it." Or just like the coach who goes home to get married and have children, he claims that he only needs a deposit of 1000 yuan to help improve his performance. Sweating.
Promotion giving methods: holidays, double eleven and double twelve, anniversaries, etc. The gym will hold some promotional activities that sound very cost-effective, such as 10% get one free and 15% discount. At this time, coaches and managers will be like bees, constantly whispering in their ears. People with soft ears will also be disturbed and will pay for it.
Experience method: I decided to buy my boxing class because I experienced it for a while. That experience class was really compact and concise. I also found that boxing burns fat very well. Staring straight at the opponent's attack is obviously beneficial to dispel my inner cowardice and fear. And the boxing coach is a master who specializes in teaching Muay Thai. I saw with my own eyes the way he supported the post with his hands and forced himself to cross the air. It's a pity that I only had two classes in boxing class, and my right little finger started tenosynovitis. It's still unclear. Boxing class is still rotten in the gym computer.
Pit 5: a merciless blow. All teachers and parents in the world basically have a problem, that is, "no praise." The reason is simple. Whether you are this or that, what is the value and significance of your existence? Of course, the lack of praise in gym personal education is more for marketing purposes. For example, when members practice their own equipment, there will be coaches who say that your movements are irregular and dangerous. If you want to do it right, you naturally have a professional coach to guide you. What about tutoring? The coach will often say, alas, the body fat has come up again, the muscle strength is still too poor, and the movements are still uncoordinated ... What should I do? You should come more often, at least three times a week, at least two hours each time, one hour of strength and one hour of stretching. Or, I have another student who comes for three hours at a time; Otherwise, last week, one of my members bought 100 private education at one time, and her body fat rate has reached 15%. Don't underestimate that the routine of "other people's children" is everywhere.
Pit 6: This is of course the biggest and deepest pit, the pit in the pit-closing down and running away. When I bought a membership card for three years and bought personal education again and again, although I was full of expectations for the devil's figure, I was also worried that the gym would last until that day. I was so lucky. Colleagues say how dare you buy an annual card for such a long time. I want to scream at the sky: "It's not because of greed and luck." The world is so big, what a coincidence, this house is about to close?
In hindsight, Orson developed too fast and incredibly fast, which really violated common sense. Within half a year, nearly 40 chain stores were acquired and merged. I heard that after buying about 20 gyms, I went to the bank for a loan. At the same time, Orson has started to operate another category-Jidi Finance, which is involved in financial fraud by promoting high-yield wealth management products. If I had checked the relationship between Chengdang Group, Orson Fitness and Jidi Finance on the Internet at the beginning of my name change, it is estimated that there would not be such a big loss now.
Of course, as an ordinary sports fan, it is impossible for us to have a pair of discerning eyes to see through the interest disputes behind business operations, but it is always right to hold that "there will never be a pie in the sky" and "don't choose for others' eyes", and only follow our own real needs and do what we want to do most.
Like this time, I hardly hesitated, but chose to bear the transfer fee myself and transfer to a nearby gym. This time, I really want to hold my breath and practice every muscle by myself.
