Muscle strength training, resistance training, weight training
In fitness, we often hear three terms: muscle strength training, weight training and resistance training. These three terms are often used interchangeably in training. Although these three terms sound very similar, in fact, they have completely different meanings. Simply put, it is interlocking and distinct.

? Shutterstock muscle strength training, as its name implies, is to use various training methods to increase muscle mass, so as long as it can increase human muscle strength, it is muscle strength training, so it is a relatively broad term. Because of this, there will be many sub-items under muscle strength training, such as common resistance training, which is one of the links under muscle strength training.

? Shutterstock resistance training resistance training is simply to use external resistance to carry out training actions. As long as the resistance generated by the training object can be used, the actions of "muscle contraction" are all "resistance actions", such as using "weight", "elasticity" and "water resistance". And they all rely on the resistance provided by these equipment or heavy objects for training, such as elastic belt and zip line. Compared with muscle strength training, this is a relatively narrow term.

? Shutterstock weight training Weight training is clearly defined training. As long as you train by "bearing", it is all weight-bearing training. The most common mechanical, free weight and weight-bearing exercises in gymnasiums are all one kind of weight training. Therefore, from weight training, resistance training to muscle strength training, although the meaning of each noun is really similar and related, the meaning of each noun is still different.
