20 13 Introduction of Jian Zhen International Half Marathon in Yangzhou, China
Born in 2006, Jian Zhen International Half Marathon was held in Yangzhou, China. It is an annual international brand competition jointly created by China Athletics Association, Jiangsu Provincial Sports Bureau and Yangzhou Municipal People's Government. Because Jian Zhen's indomitable spirit, as a historical symbol of Yangzhou and a monk in the Tang Dynasty, is in deep harmony with the spirit of never giving up the marathon, Master Jian Zhen has become the core element of the competition brand. In 20 12, the event was awarded the gold medal by IAAF, becoming the first event in China to win the highest honor of the international half marathon. After seven years, from start-up, repositioning to standard competition, from regional mass sports activities to compatible professional competitions (national half marathon championship), the comprehensive benefits are expanding day by day. The games are highly consistent with Yangzhou's city positioning and brand image, enriching and promoting the modern civilization process of this ancient city with a thousand years, and highlighting the perfect combination of modernity and history, sports and culture, competitive sports and national fitness, tourism and economy.
