Looking for childhood in the sea
Speaking of why I want to shoot, I was inspired by another guest present today, "Fisherman A Feng".
I come from Hexian County, Fujian Province. You may not have heard of it, but you must have heard of Ningde. The most famous seafood in Ningde is Pseudosciaena crocea. We also have laver, kelp, sea cucumber and so on.
Two-thirds of the towns are near the sea, and there are more than 400 small islands away from the sea. Seafood is very rich. I didn't cultivate when I was a child. Out of the house, it is the sea, and there are big fish and shrimp scattered everywhere on the beach. What I prefer to do is to go to the seaside to catch fish with my brothers in the village.
I believe everyone has had such an experience. My childhood playmates had to be separated because of practical factors, and they went further and further. Because my parents thought it was dangerous to go to sea, when we grew up, our two brothers went their separate ways and went to different cities to make a living.
At the end of 2022, I was doing second-hand house subletting business in Shanghai. I accidentally saw "Fisherman A Feng" catching the sea on the Internet. The familiar scene of catching the sea suddenly reminded me of my childhood.
At that time, I sent them to several brothers and set them up and said, "Can we also shoot them for everyone to know?" Can you still do what you like? "
Unexpectedly, several brothers also agreed with my idea. I remember very clearly that on February 5, 2022/kloc-0, we released one of the fishermen in the dry sea pumping pit.
After the low tide, we use buckets to drain the puddles on the sea surface and then catch fish. No one caught the sea in this way before, because it was too difficult. Although we are tired, we enjoy it. This feeling of childhood happiness is something we have never felt since we stepped into it.
One of them had a good feedback, with hundreds of thousands of people and thousands of friends. We were surprised, but we didn't expect our friends to be interested in this kind of content. At the beginning, our goal was to increase100000 fans within three months. I didn't expect it to be realized in just one month, far exceeding expectations. The single broadcast volume has increased from several hundred thousand to several million, and the number of fans has increased from several thousand to several hundred thousand. This is really a great encouragement.
There are more and more fans, more and more creations, and great competition pressure. We discussed the change of content. We built a fishing boat and named it "Fishing Song". We also used a water pump and began to "mechanically catch the sea". As we go further and further, the puddle is getting bigger and bigger, and of course the harvest is getting richer and richer.
Our broadcast volume ushered in an explosive period: the single period broke through from several million to tens of millions. Fans have also skyrocketed to more than one million. One issue brought 300,000 fans overnight.
Do it well with true feelings
In retrospect, we did two things right.
One is to find the right, pumping pit.
After entering, our brothers were engaged in hairdressing, sales and fitness coaching respectively. At first, we knew nothing about movies. Everyone will get together and explore slowly. During this period, three brothers left the team because of differences. But fortunately, we found our own advantages in time and persisted.
The pumping pit is very tired. At first, it was all manual, but no one had ever sent it to the sea. Many fans left messages and private letters saying that the pumping pit made them relive the fun of catching loaches and touching puddles when they were young.
In order to take good photos, we sailed to an uninhabited island far away to find puddles, and the number of pumps increased from one to six. We have been to dozens of islands and hundreds of large and small puddles, and there is still a lot of hard work behind us.
Second, we have real feelings.
Every creator has a unique style and content, but it must be true. Now, there are five "Brother Yu". I'm in charge of sailing, my wife "Village Flower" cooks, A Feng does dirty and tired work, shoots clips, and A Can does logistics supply at home.
Many people will ask, isn't the sea hard to catch? Why did you bring your wife?
My wife has been with me since she was a teenager, and she is very supportive no matter what I do. She likes the sea as much as I do. Every time I take her out to sea, she likes to pick up snails and dig shells at the seaside, and sometimes she gains more than us. I was satisfied to see the joy on her face.
She also greatly improved our meals at sea. In the past, every time we went out early and came back late, we relied on bread to satisfy our hunger. Since the village flower joined us, she cooked delicious food for us at sea, which made us feel at home at sea and enriched the content.
We have several brothers since childhood, my wife and I are junior high school classmates, and the whole team is very good. The feelings conveyed by the "Brother Yugo" in the movie are envied by many friends.

For example, if we can't make ends meet in the early days, we must convince our families to support us in this matter. With fans in the later stage, we must also consider income and realization.
When the number of fans of Brother Yuge reached 630,000, we encountered a growth bottleneck. At that time, it was mainly based on traffic sharing, and it was impossible to support the expenses of shooting and tools every month. A few of us are the pillars of our family, and our hearts will inevitably be shaken. Fortunately, we are United and stick to it with love.
Someone around me asked me why I have such great enthusiasm for filming.
I grew up by the sea, and I like watching the sea. It's fun to watch others grab things on the beach.
More importantly, filming allows my brothers and I to do what we like, make money and promote our hometown. What a happy thing you are talking about!
Apart from creative difficulties, our lives will be in danger when we go to other islands to catch the sea.
The form of "pit pumping" is dangerous, and the weather at sea changes rapidly. One minute it may be calm, the next minute it may be stormy. Every time I go out to sea to a different island, it is the most test of skill and courage for a fishing boat to hit the rocks.
Some time ago, because of my carelessness, the whole ship almost hit the rocks and sank.
In the issue of May 23, because I was short of an anchor, the wind and waves directly photographed the fishing boat on the reef. At that time, when the tide is low, there will be less and less sea water. The fishing boat was photographed on the reef and could not get out at all, so it was easy to turn over. Several other people and my wife, Hua Cun, had to get off the boat first, watching the fishing boat being slapped by the waves on the island and rocking wildly.
My idea at that time was to tell them to abandon the ship and escape. Just then, a fisherman's eldest brother happened to pass by and saw that I was in danger, so he came to help me pull the fishing boat out of the danger zone. Thank you very much for the fisherman's selfless help to others at sea. This is a fine tradition handed down from generation to generation by our fishermen.
We fishermen say we don't go out to sea in typhoon weather and in storm weather. But the sea is hard to predict. On another occasion, we just arrived on the island, ready to move the ship's equipment to the island, and suddenly there was a thunderstorm at sea.
Maybe you don't understand, thunderstorm is what we who open the sea are most afraid of. Because unlike typhoons, you can forecast them a few days in advance. Thunderstorms come as soon as they say, and they leave as soon as they say. There is no way to predict them.
At that time, three-meter-high waves came in and completely submerged the ship, wave after wave. I thought at that time, I would drive the boat to the other side of the island to avoid the wind and rain. But when sailing at sea, you can't sail against the waves. You have to cut the waves sideways and cross them sideways.
I sat in the cab, steering the fishing boat in an S-shape and fighting the wind and waves. At that time, there was only one thought in my mind-I was finished if I couldn't open it!
After 20 minutes, I finally drove the boat to the other side of the island and barely left the thunderstorm area.
These experiences made me really realize that people are so small in front of the sea. Now every time we go out to sea, we are very careful and full of awe.
