I already have six abdominal muscles, the upper two are so small and the lower four are very big. How to practice eight?
Hello, theme

If you exercise hard enough and have low body fat, it's still only 6 yuan.

Then don't force it. Most people can't naturally develop 8 abdominal muscles.

For details, please refer to the "8 perfect abdominal muscles" of the fruit shell network. Can you have them? 》

The screams of male divers are probably due to their concave and convex abdominal muscles. The attractive men on the cover of sports health magazine have also shown their perfect 8-pack abdominal muscles. As a result, many men sweat profusely in the gym.

But why are your abdominal muscles asymmetrical, and every abdominal muscle is a little skewed? Why can't you practice 8 perfect abdominal muscles? Is it the wrong way to exercise yourself?

Everyone has abdominal muscles, visible and invisible?

The striking eight-pack abdominal muscles, scientifically called rectus abdominis, are actually two banded skeletal muscles located on both sides of the midline of the anterior abdominal wall, and the overall shape is one wide and one narrow. So the abdominal muscles we see are not straight up and down, and the outer edge is somewhat curved.

The connective tissue on the rectus abdominis is called tendon stroke, which divides the rectus abdominis into several muscle abdomens. They are closely combined with the superficial layer of rectus abdominis sheath, and also have the function of preventing rectus abdominis from shifting during contraction [1].

The red one in the picture is rectus abdominis, which is an anatomical sketch, not a real anatomical photo.

Rectus abdominis is very powerful and plays an important role in spine sports [2], especially in diving, gymnastics, track and field sports. Strong rectus abdominis is very helpful to get better results.

The rectus abdominis is located in the shallow layer of the center of the abdomen. As long as you are diligent in exercise, the subcutaneous fat content in the abdomen is lower, and the shape and lines of rectus abdominis are still easy to show.

Imperfect "8-pack ABS"

Magazines have been promoting the perfect "eight-pack abdominal muscles", but careful friends will find that even male stars/models who are famous for their bodies are not all perfectly symmetrical, and even there are four bends left and right.

In fact, it depends on the tendon strokes on the rectus abdominis, but the tendon strokes are not always horizontally symmetrical and the number is fixed as we think.

Tendon stroke is the trace of sarcomere healing. Judging from the anatomical results, this process is not a delicate procedure, and the tendon stroke looks a bit uneven. (? There are anatomical photos with heavy taste below, so be careful when you pull them down! ? )

Anatomical photos of rectus abdominis. It can be seen that the tendon stroke of rectus abdominis is generally horizontal, but it is not completely horizontal, and the tendon stroke may be serrated. Careful observation will reveal that the positions of the left and right ribs are not completely symmetrical.

External manifestations of stroke with non-straight tendons. It can be clearly seen that the horizontal dividing line of abdominal muscles in the figure is not horizontal, but slightly skewed.

In addition, the number of strokes of tendons is not fixed, usually 3-4 times on each side [1]. From 65438 to 0988, an anatomical study in China measured the tendon stroke of 72 rectus abdominis in 36 cases. The data showed that the number of tendon strokes ranged from 2 to 4, of which 4 tendon strokes accounted for 63.9% of the total, 3 tendon strokes reached 27.8%, and only 2 tendon strokes accounted for 8.3%[3]. In addition, a foreign study in 2008 showed that ***4 1 case had 82 rectus abdominis tendon strokes, of which 4 tendon strokes were 22%, 3 tendon strokes were 6 1%, and 2 tendon strokes and 1 tendon stroke were 15% and 2% respectively [4].

Although 3-4 ribs on each side are the mainstream, this is only a statistical probability. When people are lazy and don't "do" even half a muscle stroke, even if you are Dānlín, there is no way but to bid farewell to eight perfect abdominal muscles.

Dānlín's right rectus abdominis seems to be only half the size of the first tendon, so the boundary between the two abdominal muscles is rather vague. Even if this half counts as one, a domineering athlete like Dānlín doesn't have eight ABS. As for why Dānlín didn't develop 8 abdominal muscles, please see the next paragraph.

Eight abdominal muscles that can't be practiced

Everyone's tendon strokes are different. People who paddle with one muscle and two muscles can't develop eight abdominal muscles in their lifetime. Can people with more than three tendons practice perfect 8/ 10 abdominal muscles? Obviously, this is not the case. Because the location of tendon scratch and the physiological characteristics of white line are also very important influencing factors.

Let's look at the relationship between tendon strokes and body surface marks.

It can be seen that for some people, their first tendon stroke will be too close to the xiphoid process, so that the top pair of "abdominal muscles" may be blocked by pectoralis major, which is difficult to show. Although there are eight abdominal muscles, others can't see them.

In addition, the white line below the navel will become very narrow, and the boundary between the two rectus abdominis muscles below the navel is not obvious, which will be more like a muscle. In this way, even if you have the fourth muscle stroke, it is difficult to have 10 abdominal muscles. Look at the picture of Dānlín in front. He is such a domineering person, and the rectus abdominis below the navel is also connected.

More importantly, if the tendon strokes of the rectus abdominis muscles on both sides are too different, there is no way to achieve perfection. For example, Chun Wu's photos of abdominal muscles seriously "exposed" his asymmetric abdominal muscles.

Chun Wu's obviously asymmetrical abdominal muscles were exposed. What are you afraid of?

The navel is high and the navel is low because the tendon is scratched.

When you admire the man with abdominal muscles on the cover of a magazine, you may also "point out" the figure of the male model. Why do you think that some people's navel looks high and some people look low?

The reason is tendon strokes, especially the third and fourth tendon strokes. From the previous chart, we can see that the third rib stroke is basically a little above the umbilical horizontal line, and even some people can basically coincide with the umbilical horizontal line [4]. However, some people's third tendon may be far away from the umbilical cord, which makes the lower part seem empty and the umbilical cord position seems too "low".

However, the third tendon is also located far from the umbilical cord. If you have a fourth tendon, the situation may be reversed. You will think that the umbilical cord is so far away from the bottom tendon that it looks good. This is the illusion that people regard the stroke in the fourth muscle as the third muscle.

The number and position of tendon strokes are determined by genes, and have nothing to do with the acquired movement mode. Exercise can only help reduce subcutaneous fat in the abdomen and make several abdominal muscles of rectus abdominis clearer. Therefore, you can make your muscles concave and convex, but whether it is a uniform 8-pack abdominal muscle depends on your innate conditions.
