What is Zumba?
Zumba is a physical exercise and fitness program founded by Alberto Perez, a Colombian dancer and choreographer, in the 1960s and 1990s.

Zumba's choreography is mainly based on four basic melodies: salsa dance, lightning dance, merengue dance and Kambia dance, and each basic melody has four sets of core dance steps. Zumba's choreography is based on the above 16 core dance steps, which can be used all or only part of them.

Zumba was invented by Alberto Beto Perez in Cali, Colombia on 1998. Perez used to be a fitness instructor, but he often forgot to bring those regular fitness music accompaniment to his class. And he happens to have some Latin dance cassettes, mostly salsa and merengue.

Perez used these music as accompaniment to teach his students, and called this special fitness dance "rumbaziz". On 20 1 1 year, Perez began to cooperate with Alberto perlman and Alberto Aghion, and they released a series of fitness videos through informative advertisements.

20 12 insight venture capital and Rennes group invested in their company. According to Paalmann, they have started Zumba classes off-line.
