How to Do Tai Ji Chuan's "Kicking Boxing" Action Well
Tai Ji Chuan is one of the most representative martial arts in China. Nowadays, more and more people practice Tai Ji Chuan. Among them, there are 24 species and 42 species in Tai Ji Chuan. Because most practitioners lack the basic skills of Wushu, they are often confused about the practice method of "kicking" in Tai Ji Chuan. In view of this phenomenon, this paper discusses this issue, and then hopes to bring enlightenment to everyone through my own experience. 1. How high is the pedal when doing the "pedal" action in Tai Ji Chuan potential? Is the higher the better? Many boxers have asked me how high the pedal should be when I "kick" in Tai Ji Chuan. Is the higher the better? I think as a drill routine, kicking a little higher can not only get the high score of the referee but also get the applause of the audience, which reflects the leg kung fu of the athletes. As a practical action, there is a martial arts proverb called "Feet up in the air", which says that when you lift your feet, don't control your center of gravity, which is easy to be controlled by others. The proverb "Kick your feet without kicking your knees, and split your legs without kicking your waist" has a clearer requirement on the height of kicking. It is generally believed that the height of kicking is the same as or lower than the waist, which is very suitable for practical application. But further, the height of the pedal in actual combat depends on the physical quality of the individual and the needs of the opportunity. In the practical application of kicking, the leg flexibility is poor, so you can kick it lower, such as kicking the opponent's calf, knee joint, thigh and lower abdomen; If you are flexible, you can push it higher, such as pushing your opponent's chest and head. Of course, your legs are very flexible. Every time you practice kicking your feet above your head, it is quite easy to push your opponent below your waist. First of all, strengthen the strength exercises of supporting legs, such as doing one-legged squats, leapfrog, small steps and so on. Secondly, strengthen leg flexibility exercises, such as doing foreleg, side leg press, leg control, vertical fork, horizontal fork and so on. Then strengthen the body's balance ability, such as doing Tai Ji Chuan kicking exercises on a soft sponge pad. Finally, it is worth noting that Tai Ji Chuan is a "slow kungfu". The important thing is to keep practicing and persevere, and there will be progress. Third, how to maintain the balance of the body when kicking? When a boxer communicated with me, he said, "When I kick, I can't grasp the center of gravity well, and I always shake from side to side." Ask me how to correct it. I say you call once, and I'll take a look for you. The sequence of his kicking action is: cross hands to take over, at the same time, the center of gravity moves up and the knees are raised. After he finished the action, I punched him in the head with my right hand, so that the boxer could cross his hands and support his knees with one leg. When my right arm sank slightly, the boxer swayed from side to side. I said to do it again, but I still punched him on the head with my right hand and let the boxer cross his arms to take it (landing on his legs). My right arm pressed hard, and the boxer didn't stagger. This is what I said: adjust the center of gravity, lift your knees and kick your feet. The boxer suddenly realized, "It's not that I'm not at home, it's just that the action sequence is sequential." To practice Tai Ji Chuan, the most important thing is the balance of the porter's body. Lean forward and lean back, you can't beat Tai Ji Chuan. So how do you balance your body? It is not enough to contact and balance only from a soft sponge pad. Further understanding from the "offensive and defensive meaning" of kicking boxing is more conducive to maintaining the balance of the body. Tai Ji Chuan routine is a form of sports with attack and defense as its basic content, and its basic attribute is attack and defense, with rich techniques. It is required to have the unique style and characteristics of Wushu with both form and spirit when practicing, and Tai Ji Chuan's practice can not be separated from the guidance of attack and defense methods. Let's explain how to keep balance in sports by understanding the meaning of Tai Ji Chuan's kicking and the sequence of kicking and boxing. Take 24-style Tai Ji Chuan's right kick as an example: (Note: A in gown and B in shorts B) B goes forward and hits A on the head with a right straight fist. A conveniently lift his right arm with crossed hands to make it empty. A keeps pushing his right knee to hit B's crotch (abdomen), and B contains chest and abdomen buffer. A kicks B's abdomen or chest with his right foot, while controlling his right arm and right palm to hit his head with his left hand. Only by teaching Tai Ji Chuan culture and transforming it into an understanding of Tai Ji Chuan through hard practice can we understand the essence and connotation of Tai Ji Chuan. By understanding the meaning of right kick defense, we can see the action sequence of right kick boxing: crossing hands to take over-moving the body's center of gravity to lift the knees-kicking and hitting at the same time. The order of attack and defense actions is sequential, and the attack and defense effects are different. Starting from the offensive and defensive meaning of boxing in routine practice, it is more conducive to guiding and standardizing the action. Knowing its offensive and defensive meaning can make our kung fu go up a storey still higher. I hope everyone will criticize and correct me and make progress together.
