At the age of twenty-four, someone came to challenge Huo Yuanjia's brother and younger brother, and they were defeated by him one after another. As soon as Huo Yuanjia came on stage, he beat the man in five minutes. Since then, he became famous in World War I, absorbed the strengths of many families and created a "mysterious art".
In Huo Yuanjia's life, there were numerous fierce battles, and he defeated the Russian Hercules (the foreign man who came to China at the beginning, collectively referred to as Hercules), the Japanese judo master and the British guy. According to historical records, although Huo Yuanjia was weak from childhood, he was very strong as an adult. It is said that he can carry a heavy burden, so he has the reputation of "Huo Hercules". At that time, the Jason Wu Gymnastics Club founded by Huo Yuanjia once set off a martial arts craze in China, and many of his descendants were martial arts experts.
Brother Huo Dongge, the eldest son and the second son.
Huo Yuanjia's second son, Huo Dongge, was influenced by his father and family culture since childhood and made great achievements in martial arts, Chinese studies and medical skills. After Huo Yuanjia's death, Huo Dongge went to Shanghai Jason Wu Gymnastics Association to teach. Brother Huo Dongge was only sixteen years old at this time.
At the age of 25, Huo Dongge was invited by the elders of Jason Wu Association to teach in Jason Wu Branch. Later, after the domestic business gradually stabilized, Huo Dongge had some savings in his hand and wanted to go abroad to promote Wujingmen.
1923 June 12, Huo Dongge alone resisted Surabaya, now Surabaya, Java. At first, Huo Dongge's lobbying didn't work. Later, by coincidence, a well-known local school invited Huo Dongge to perform, and Huo Dongge's "Drunken Eight Immortals" kung fu on the field caused a sensation in the whole city.
With the efforts of Huo Dongge, Huo Jiaquan and China Kung Fu have become famous in the local area, and overseas Chinese children have also come to practice martial arts. Huo Dongge founded the Jason Wu Sports Association in Surabaya here, and later developed to Dagang, Zhilikun, Semarang, Thoreau, Bandung, Beijialang and other places.
Second, the great disciple Liu Zhensheng.
Liu Zhensheng is Huo Yuanjia's great apprentice, and also the prototype of Zhen Chen in the present film and television drama. Liu Zhensheng was second only to master Huo Yuanjia in martial arts at Jingwumen, and he was very famous in Jianghu. He is known as "Lightning Flying Swallow Liu". The reason why I list Liu Zhensheng here is because Huo Yuanjia made an exception for it, breaking the rule that martial arts was passed from one family to another and passed it on to Liu Zhensheng.
Later, Huo Yuanjia was killed and Liu Zhensheng temporarily took over Jingwumen. After Huo Dongge and his uncle Huo Yuanqing appeared, Liu Zhensheng left Jingwumen to become a monk.
After his death, there was only a nod, a string of beads and Zhang's invitation.
Third, great-great-granddaughter, Huo Jinghong
Huo Jinghong is the great-grandson of Huo Yuanjia and the granddaughter of Huo Dong Zhang, the eldest son of Huo Yuanjia. She is the only Huo family in Huo Yuanjia who is now a descendant of martial arts. In the 13th National Games, Huo Jinghong won the champion of mass fitness Qigong team competition on behalf of Tianjin team.
According to Huo Jinghong, "The people in Nanyang Branch mainly practice medicine and run pharmaceutical factories. My grandfather and his brothers, either working or farming, basically don't know martial arts and don't like it. The martial arts at home are basically broken. "
Huo Jinghong had been practicing kung fu in the martial arts school before he was thirty-eight, instead of Huo Jiaquan. Later, at the age of 38, he was deeply impressed by the hard work of his ancestors and felt that this unique skill could not be broken in his own hands. So he asked his father for a fist score and began to practice the martial arts handed down from home and passed it on to his disciples.
Besides these three, Huo Shousong, the son of Huo Yuanjia's eldest son Huo Dong Zhang, also practiced martial arts handed down from his family. He went to Nanyang to help his uncle Huo Dongge develop the Jason Wu Gymnastics Club, while others did not practice martial arts.
Huo Yuanjia's descendants are now divided into two branches. One is a worker, farmer and other occupations in Tianjin, and only learned a little tripod kung fu. The other is in Nanyang. Due to historical reasons, he now lives on medical skills instead of learning martial arts.
Huo Yuanjia, a great master, is known as the first martial artist in modern times, but his descendants are too young to reproduce Huo's stunts. It's really a pity. If Huo's martial arts descendants are all here, how can there be hooligans so arrogant?
