Debao has many famous agricultural products. Illicium verum and fennel oil forest have been planted for tens of thousands of years, and there are 340,000 mu of forest land. Illicium verum, also called Illicium verum, is the fruit of Illicium verum. Because the radial fruit is octagonal, it is called Illicium verum. Dry Illicium verum is reddish brown, and the main component of Illicium verum is anethole volatile oil. Star anise has a strong aroma of hawthorn flowers, which is sweet, pungent and warm, with both fragrance and taste. Medicine and food have the same origin, and have the functions of warming yang, dispelling cold and regulating qi. It is an important spicy condiment, which is used in food cooking or food processing. Because of its mellow flavor, it can remove fishy smell and stimulate appetite, and it is a common seasoning for cooking thick dishes. Debao's geographical climate and soil conditions are suitable for the growth of Illicium verum. Illicium verum has a long history and has been paid attention to as early as Guangxu period of Qing Dynasty. At present, the county has 280,000 mu of star anise spice base, with a minimum annual output of 700 tons of star anise and 500 tons of star anise oil, ranking first in the country in terms of output and export, so it has the reputation of "the hometown of star anise oil".

Tianbao fennel oil

Debao county specialty. It is made by steaming Illicium verum leaves. During the Republic of China, all famous ports in Hong Kong were marked with the trademark "Tianbao Brand" (that is, the original county name). There was a saying that "French perfume is not fragrant without Tianbao fennel oil". Tianbao fennel oil has the characteristics of high freezing point, good refraction, high brain content, rich flavor and high purity. Has antibacterial, stomach invigorating, pathogenic wind expelling, expectorant, and antitussive effects, and can be used for treating neurasthenia, dyspepsia, and scabies. It is an important raw material for producing more than 40 kinds of medical drugs and spices, food, toothpaste, cosmetics and other processing industries. The export volume of this product accounts for 90% in Guangxi and 50% in China. Products are exported to Europe, America and Southeast Asian countries.

Debao flower basket

"Debao flower basket" is made of wheat straw as the main raw material and woven and decorated through many processes. Its beautiful shape, exquisite workmanship, simple and elegant, exquisite and novel, rich in local ethnic characteristics, with high ornamental value, is the favorite tourist handicraft for women and children. "Debao Flower Basket" is a unique national traditional hand-woven handicraft in Debao County, Guangxi. As early as the Ming Dynasty, Debao people regarded this treasure as a necessary holiday gift. In the first year of Hongwu, Cen Tianbao, a local official in Zhen 'an, Guangxi, cherished flower baskets and often gave them to guests.

Gecko debao

Reptile wild animals, like geckos, are large in size and mostly grow in the crevices of Dashishan. They are one of the famous native products of Debao. The gecko produced in Debao is different from other places. It has five toes on its chest and is called the five-claw gecko. It has the medicinal functions of invigorating qi, strengthening yang and relieving asthma. Debao County Winery uses local gecko for deep processing to produce gecko wine and gecko male testicle wine, which has rich nutritional value and fitness function.
