Yongding River is an important river in Beijing. Historically, Yongding River (the lower reaches of Sanggan River) was also called Hunhe River. In the Lotus Stone Lake Park by the Yongding River, I saw a poem written by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty: Shijing is remote, connected with the Han Dynasty, and the Hun River flows like a stream. Canglang is rolling, and the vast land is connected with Huangzhou. Legend has it that this poem was written in May 1678. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty went to Shijingshan for a short stay of two days, leaving behind "seeing the Hunhe River in Shijingshan".

There are many parks along the Yongding River in Beijing. Shi Lian Park, located on the north side of Shilian West Road in Shijingshan, is a free park to meet the leisure, fitness and entertainment needs of surrounding residents and highlight the landscape highlights of Yongding River.

When you walk into Lishihu Park, you will see the rich life atmosphere of ordinary people. Every family, old and young, catches shrimps by the water, flies kites in the square and rides horses in the garden. Although people wear masks and keep a certain distance during the epidemic, Beijingers are particularly full of interest in loving nature and enjoying the beautiful life brought by nature.

Like Yongding River Leisure Forest Park on the south side of Shi Lian West Road, Shilianhu Park was once a dry riverbed of Yongding River and a place to raise sand. With the regulation along the river, the dry river began to have water surface and formed wetlands. On the way to travel, it just happened to catch up with the start of the ecological water replenishment project of Yongding River in Beijing, and the Shilian Lake scenic spot flowed into the Yellow River. The swift river has become a highlight for tourists.

The park is built along Yongding River, with eight scenic spots scattered along the river, forming a vast, fresh, bright, beautiful and smart landscape corridor.

There are two historic sites in the park, one is the Hunhe ancient dike on the south side of the west extension line of West Chang 'an Street, and the other is Shijingshan on the north side of the west extension line of West Chang 'an Street. The ancient embankment of Hunhe River, commonly known as Eighteen Stems, is located at the corner of Yongding River, which is a very easy place to burst. Therefore, the ancients used eighteen layers of granite stones, and each layer of stones staggered by 5- 10 cm, forming a ladder shape. Between the stones, the seams are filled with rice juice and locked with silver ingots, forming the oldest and strongest dike section on the Yongding River, with a total length of about 350 meters.

Walking through the extension line of West Chang 'an Avenue and coming to the riverside of Shougang Industrial Ruins Park under construction, you can clearly see a hill opposite the river, which is the first fairy mountain in Yan Dou, also known as Shijingshan, and now it is generally called Shijingshan. The name of Shijingshan District in western Beijing comes from this mountain. Although the mountain is not high, there are many stories. The simplest story tells the story of four disciples of a monk in the Tang Dynasty who came back from the Western Heaven to learn Buddhist scriptures, passing by here and getting wet by the rain. In desperation, they were named Hou, and the book stand was opened on the mountain to dry. Whether it is true or not is another matter.

The park along Yongding River has a good path around the lake. Visitors can rent bicycles for two or four people, or take a battery car for two or four people to play around the lake. What I see most in the garden are children riding small skateboards or riding balance cars quickly. Different from other parks, pets can be brought in the park, and pet poop boxes are specially set up in the scenic spot. In front of the wooden house specially built for pigeons in the garden, cheering children chased the rising and falling pigeons and called them for food with immature voices. ...

The most spectacular thing in the park is the small waterfall formed after the Yellow River water is injected into Yongding River. The splashing water fell like ivory silk. For the sake of safety, the staff in the scenic spot prevent tourists from getting close to the water, but people can still see the rushing river on the dam, the waist of the plants on the lakeshore soaked in water and the beautiful spring scenery along the Yongding River. ...
