Insert a text box or table and set the length and width to the required specifications.

Text box mode:

Click Insert-Text Box-Horizontal Layout.

Then drag the mouse and draw a text box.

Place the mouse arrow on the border of the text box and click the right mouse button. Select Format Text Box from the pop-up menu.

In the pop-up dialog box, click the Size tab.

Enter 5cm for height and 8cm for width.

Be sure to delete the original unit "point". Then, press OK to close the dialog box.
