Songya Lake National Wetland Park, located in Xingsha, Changsha, is a comprehensive project integrating flood control and storage, urban safe drinking water, improving urban ecological environment, perfecting urban functional layout and improving urban quality of life. The total area of Songya Lake Ecological Park is 489.62 hectares, or 7344.3 mu.

Songya Lake is north to Laodao River, south to Binhu Road, east to Liudong Line (northern section) and Dongba Line (southern section), and west to Song Ya River. Through the planning and design of Australian GHD company, it is planned to build a comprehensive park with lakes, mountains and natural ecology as the core, integrating leisure, tourism, entertainment, fitness and water activities.

Significance of the construction of Songya Lake;

The construction of Songya Lake will build flood control facilities according to the once-in-a-century flood standard. By building a lake wetland ecosystem with rich biodiversity and high productivity, it can provide water resources for the city, conserve water resources, adjust climate, adjust air humidity, improve air quality and reduce urban "heat island effect".

According to estimates, the summer temperature in Songya Lake area is about 5 degrees Celsius lower than that in the city center, and the content of negative oxygen ions exceeds 50,000 /cm3, which is dozens of times that in the city center.
