How big is the muscle gap between top marathon runners and muscular men who keep fit all the year round?
In the past, when people's living standards were extremely poor, people would probably say that they were "sick" if they wanted to exercise and run alone. Actually, it's true. Fitness is a thing that needs economic conditions. When people's living standards are extremely poor, they can't eat or run, so they have no strength to exercise. However, this just shows one thing. The popularity of fitness culture in China now shows that people's living standards have really improved a lot.

Of course, people in our unit are amateurs, but although it is a local competition, there are also some top marathoners. After all, there are bonuses. We can see that many top marathoners are physically strong. After all, it's good to be able to run such a long distance, and their muscles are often very attractive. So what's the difference between the muscles of top marathon runners and those of muscular men who keep fit all the year round?

First, the muscle gap between the two sides.

Running belongs to aerobic training, which we all know, and marathon is more intense aerobic training. We can see that although many marathoners have strong muscles and obvious muscle lines, their only defect is that their muscles are not big enough, even smaller than those of many ordinary people, so marathoners are generally smaller, while bodybuilders have bigger muscles and are more beautiful. After all, many of them are fitness and muscle training methods now.

Second, the gap between the two sides' physical qualities.

In terms of physical fitness, athletes who can really participate in the marathon can be said to have excellent physical fitness. After all, to complete these dozens of kilometers of races, besides training, there is also a great demand for physical fitness, not to mention being a top marathon runner. Although bodybuilders can also play a certain role in strengthening the body through muscle training, if we look at the direction of all-round development, most bodybuilders only pay attention to strength training.

Third, later physical development.

However, as long as it is a competitive sport, it is an event that consumes the body, not to mention a sport that requires a lot of physical strength, such as a marathon. Many marathoners who have been engaged in professional marathons for a long time begin to lose their physical fitness gradually when they get older, and some injuries to knees and legs caused by running early will break out at one time. For us amateur marathoners, it may be nothing, but for many professional marathoners, the physical fitness in the later stage is really bad.
