Dongchang lake Scenic Area, located in the southwest of Liaocheng City, is bounded by Liuyuan Road, Dongchang Road and Huxi Road, the main roads of Liaocheng City in the east, north and west, and reaches Hunan Road in the south, with a total area of 20.6 square kilometers. The famous Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passes through the scenic spot. Dongchang lake, also known as carmine lake, is also called "the three famous lakes in China" with West Lake in Hangzhou and Xuanwu Lake in Nanjing. Known as "West Lake in the south and Dongchang in the north", it is a bright pearl of Jiangbei Watertown.
Guangyue Building is the symbol of Liaocheng, a famous historical and cultural city in China. It, Yellow Crane Tower and Yueyang Tower are called the three famous buildings in China. Located in the center of Liaocheng ancient city, Guangyue Building is a four-story pavilion with a cross ridge. It consists of a pier and a main building. The pier is a brick quadrangular prism with a height of 9 meters. The four-story main building is built on the pier with a height of 24 meters. The height of Guangyue Building and the elders on the ground floor is 33 meters, which is nine feet nine feet in ancient times. In ancient China, nine was the pole of yang number, which meant that its height could not be surpassed. For more than 600 years, Guangyue Building has been one of the most magnificent and tallest buildings in China.
The ancient building complex of Shanshan Guild Hall is located in the west bank of Jinghang Ancient Canal in Dongguan, Dongchangfu District, Liaocheng City. Sitting west facing east, symmetrically arranged along the central axis. It is a temple and palace complex jointly built by Shanxi and Shaanxi businessmen for "worshiping God and visiting mulberry". It was built in the eighth year of Qingganlong (1743) and then expanded year by year. In the 14th year of Jiaqing (1809), it had the present scale and spent 60,465.69 taels of silver. The main hall is 77 meters long from east to west and 43 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of 33 1 1 square meter. The whole building consists of gate, theater, mezzanine, bell and drum tower, north and south watchtowers, north and south pavilions, north and south halls and spring and autumn pavilions.
