My mouth is thirsty after exercise. What's the matter with drinking water all the time or being thirsty?
Sweating a lot during exercise keeps the body temperature relatively stable, but it makes the human body lose a lot of water and take away a lot of salt, such as sodium, potassium and magnesium salts. Because of too much water loss, the plasma osmotic pressure is high, which stimulates the osmotic pressure receptor of hypothalamus, thus causing cerebral cortex excitement and thirst, so drink plenty of water. Drinking plenty of water will dilute the concentration of sodium chloride in the blood. In order to maintain and restore the original concentration, you must drain the drinking water and continue to sweat. With the continuous discharge of sweat, sodium chloride is further lost, thus forming a vicious circle. So people will feel thirsty when they drink too much.

Avoid binge drinking when you are thirsty. After sweating a lot during labor and exercise, it is not advisable to drink a lot of white water. Add some light salt water or sports drinks appropriately, and add L- 1.5g salt to 500g water. Because a lot of sweating makes the body lose too much salt, accounting for about 0.5% of sweat. If salt is not supplemented in time, the ratio of water to salt in the body will be seriously unbalanced, leading to metabolic disorder. It is best to drink water in small sips, based on the principle of fewer times and avoiding binge drinking. Because drinking water too fast is very harmful to the body, it may cause blood pressure reduction and brain edema, leading to headache, nausea and vomiting. The temperature of water should not be too high, preferably 8- 12℃.
