Fuqing branch of fujian normal university (Fuqing Campus), founded in 1977, is an organic part of Fujian Normal University. After students complete their studies, Fujian Normal University will issue graduation certificates and degree certificates. The school is located in Fuqing, a famous hometown of overseas Chinese, and is located in the center of Fuzhou-Pingtan trunk line. Basically, a school-running pattern with undergraduate education as the mainstay and various forms of education coexisting has been formed. In 2008, it passed the undergraduate teaching level evaluation of the Provincial Department of Education.

The school has 8 departments, including Economic Law Department, Humanities Department, Foreign Languages Department, Mathematics and Computer Science Department, Electronic and Information Engineering Department, Biological and Chemical Engineering Department, Sports Science Department and Management Department, with 27 undergraduate majors and more than 7,000 full-time undergraduates.
