1. Prepare a cage of suitable size, not too small to facilitate their activities, but not too big;

2. Arrange some toys they like. The most common toy is hamster wheel.

3. Make sure that the water the hamster drinks is cold boiled water, and change it frequently;

4. Add some auxiliary tools and give them a grinding stick to grind their teeth;

5. Pay attention to the temperature in winter.

Hamsters need a lot of exercise. If they stay in a small cage all the time, they are prone to depression or impatience, and they will keep circling in the cage to find a place to go out. If conditions permit, large cages can be equipped with hanging baskets, pipes, stairs and other facilities.
